I think it is just for the sake of drama in RamLeena function. It will be solved right away!
It could be to spin off of Ramayan-Ravan (killer) kidnapping Sita (Pragya) and Ram (Abhi) looking for her desperately and bringing her back from hostage with the help of Vanar sena (Ronnie et al).

I don't know if AbhiGya are actually playing Ram Sita for the RamLeela act. It was mentioned in the segments but we havent had BTS to show that. It could be a symbolic representation of Ramayan I think!
Well I have no idea why they don't tell Abhi the truth! They are telling him so many lies that he may grow to not trust them when they get ready to tell truth!
