Guys HELP me out Please

Ok for school I am doing a project on Balaji Telefilims. My teacher said she want me to find out why people watch these shows.

I started to watch KKB because I love the name of the show, the story, and the main actors Sriti Jha and Shabbir Ahluwalia. I live in the U.S. and love this show because it shows good Indian values (not all the time) and shows all the holidays and cultural events that are fun. It's a good change from what I watch locally.

Its also light hearted without tragedy or violence and good family type of entertainment.

people get emotionally attached to the characters in the shows,
when you get emotionally involved with a character(specially the hero/villain of the show), chances of getting emotionally involved with a guy becomes 50 percent less - lol kidding (some people still get involved with guys)
aunties get involved becoz they get new ideas what to gossip about their Bahus to other aunties
also, I have seen many people getting hooked to certain shows when their self reflects in one of the characters in the show, (I hope u get what I mean)
hmm maybe I can write down an essay on this question..
but I might need some time to ponder over nitty gritties

I live in the US too and, so I am just amused that you have an assignment on soap operas.

But ok...

I watch KKB because i have this sort of attachment to the show.

Another reason is he couple and the main leads: Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia are brilliant!Their chemistry is amazing!Also, the funny one liners and nokjhoks!They keep you hooked to the show! Lastly, there were some points in the show where i might have quit watching totally, but either still kept watching or resumed watching shortly because of the my friends who watch KKB too!

Another reason, for a lot of people is that it becomes a habit to watch a certain show. So unless it gets unbearable, they would just continue to watch a show because of habit.

MY project is on big businesses. And my teacher said if you do one from another country we get extra points. So i talked with her and she said for me to find out why balaji telefilms shows are so popular

I used to watch a lot of ekta's soap as kid and in my adolescence like Ksbtbt, kggk,kzk, kyph. Then stopped watching or saw them sporadically like kayamath , TL , balh. Kkb is my first serious soap in many years , it caught my eye because shikha was playing the antagonist and Sriti was the lead.Then stayed because of rabul, but as the focus on them decreased i continued watching because of all actors.( specially Tisha, arnal and shikha)
There might not be much storyline but the show is very entertaining on the day to day basis, with hilarious one liners.
The dialogues and comic interludes are funny, nobody spouts heavy lines and here there isn't a saas who wears heavy jewellery but a very classy looking villain. Every character is quirky and fun in its own way.
