Eeeps the last scene today was fascinating it's like an anti eye-lock. Loved seeing abhi with yearning in his eyes and pragya with turmoil. Now if only that turmoil would be less drenched in cloying guilt I would be happier! Anything that makes you feel guilty is not a valid way to solve a problem pragya. Just ask abhi how he feels about marrying you for revenge only to find out it was a mistake.

I just LOVED today's scene, Mina! I don't think I've ever seen this complexity and depth in emotions portrayed by Shabz before..my respect for his acting caliber went up several notches today. Very rare for an actor to convey what he did in silence. Stellar stellar scene, likely one of my all time faves of this show, I just connected to his emotions in that moment.

Funny what different people notice. Shabz is not what I would pinpoint in that scene. But no denying that he's been fantastic lately!

What does Abhi want in a woman? This time last year I started a fic exploring that question, trying to show that Pragya was what he never thought he wanted but exactly what he needed. Now I think I would approach the whole question differently. There's a deeply conservative, patriarchal, family-first core to Abhi...we've seen evidence of it over and over in the last year. And it puts a different complexion on things.

Rewatching that last scene because it happens to be on while I'm waiting for my oven timer to go off...interesting that they didn't superimpose some kind of flashback but still had Abhi say "I thought for a moment I had my Fuggy back." What made him feel that? Because he was already lost in thoughts of her? Because she was bugging him about bedtime like Fuggy would? Because she looked a bit Fuggy like dressed down in the nightdress?

It was in her voice, that's all he heard - he hadn't seen her till he turned around.

I think somewhere it stems from his childhood. The lack of a balanced childhood, he had to grow up fast and took care of his Dadi, Aaliyah, Purab. I think his family first core comes from this- he wants his family- however they may be, whatever faults they may have- to be together. He's been smart enough to figure them out already but he still has them in his life.

He will very much want a full, big family with pragya if possible, he seems that way. A man who wants to give the world to his family and the stability he never had. It's been evident that he likes her familial inclinations, love for elders, sacrificial and adjusting nature.. all Fuggy traits.
