Hate those 'click here to watch' posts

I wish these are completely banned. Half that time for whatever reason those "click here to watch" do not work. And there is no WU accompanying. Just a huge disappointment every time you click those. Please either add a WU note or just don't post those. Highly irritating.

They are spam, advts. etc. I wish IF had a way of blocking them.

These are spam/advertisement posts made usually by newbies, the best way to deal with such posts is to report them. And yes they are highly irritating.

Agreed, they are highly annoying... To the point where it has reduced my activity on IF. I am constantly reporting them but have never got any feedback on reports. They don't even bother going on the post and closing it down.

Yup not only that, other spammers post thanks and nice and stuff which encourages others to think the video was worth watching, just post SPAM to help others realise it's a spam cause mostly they aren't closed down...

Yup I noticed that too.. It seems like the posts are real and one should think that others have clicked and really watched something worthwhile. Usually no WU is made available which is a give away that it is spam. The posters need to be banned.

That is EXACTLY how I feel. I'll click on the topic with high hopes and see something like that and get so annoyed. I don't even care to click on things anymore.

What I do to screen these people out is:

1) If they don't have a picture, don't click on the link.
2) Are they new? Is this their 7th post? Then don't click.
3) Is it an SBS video? Did Saradon post anything today? If Saradon hasn't posted an SBS segment then this is fake and if she has then I prefer clicking on that link.
4) Have you seen this user around the forum posting useful things? If so, then it's okay to click on the link.

Honestly, I wish there was a way to get rid of these people all together. Other forums don't get or get as much spam from these types of people as much as we do in this forum. Super annoying and frustrating. The people doing this...why?
