Bad News Kumkum Bhagya

The bubbly diva Mrunal Thakur who is essaying the role of Bulbul in Zee TV Kumkumbhagya may quit the show for Star plus Siye Ke Ram.

As we already reported you Rangrasiya fame Ashish Sharma will portray the role of Ram andproduction house is searching for Siye and finally the search is end now because they got Mrunal Thakur.

It will be her 3rd show with Star plus and she get to play the lead actress after Khamoshiyaan her debut serial. Though we try to get connected with her but she did not revert the call.

As per sources the set of Siye Ke Ram is been done in Hyderabad Ramoji Film City and thestory may hit the set around 3 months.

This is bad news indeed!

Are mythological shows really that popular? She is still a young actress, I would hope she can do these roles later in her career.

It would have been beneficial for her to take a leading role on another soap than mythology.

This is a caveat that I dont watch mythology and don't know if young actors manage to get even more famous after doing such roles. I really dont know but would think she has time in her career to take this up later versus a younger role now.

Wonder who her replacement would be if this is true.

@deefan, it depends on the quality of the show and the actors. The ramayan and mahabharata that were made in early 90's are still very popular amongst the audiences but there have been bad renditions which didn't work well, like the mahabharata that EK made.

Gurmeet chaudhary played Ram in a ramayan few years back and it was pretty popular and so was the recent mahabharta that telecasted on star plus, but i do think it is a risky move for Mrunal because she is quite young, while it will provide her with an opportunity to try something different as an actor but it might not work if not presented well.

I really like Mrunal as a BB...she is a pretty and young actress...I don't think she got much deserve screen space in KKB...but kkb is most popular and Its doing well on trp...hope she will take a good decision...

Aww NO I love Mrunal as BB 😭 ..this is my phobia when it comes to watching TV serials Actors\actresses quitting after I loved them and the show
I hope she will take a wise decision although I don't think her role is small Rabul is important and popular couple in the show but small screen space in a popular show that may go on for a long time is better than a big role in a new show that may not survive and I came a cross several shows that taken off air in just months..I hope we will not live the experince of old Tanu and new Tanu again
