From the little experience I have, in shows the wife do everything for their husband and in laws they dont need to ask anything. As for the baby responsibility goes im pretty surprised that daasi shoved the baby issue on her face when tanu came in the room. So audience being mainly older generation prefer old school stuff and this where ekta comes in i mean shes a woman she knws what audience wants to see. And some serious issues in kkb are shown as a joke...so yh everythings possible in kkb 😆 and @kulsum dont think abhi would do that again and this is the reason shes oblivious to his feelings tanus been in the picture since so yeh dont blame the girl really...she needs to be told directly not in hints...

As far as i see the whole thing i see it as karma. When abhi married pragz, in the big picture he wanted to ruin her life...so yeh wen it comes to intentions shes harmless and from mms pragz was shown as naive in regards to her proof and everything so there is consistency in her character so dont have an issue...the only issue i have here is tanu and her silly ideas...once this chapter is closed ill b relieved or wat...

If it is Karma it should hurt Abhi not Pragya. Pragya is crying both ways! Abhi is not even that distraught right now. He is focused on fixing things and not seeing a dead end.

As per Pragya, nope her character is not consistent at all. She was smart to deal with DNA reports in Rachna case, and previously identify Tannu as a liar, evil and selfish person before.
And she cared the most about her mom and warned even Abhi to not hurt her Maa.
Now she ships Tannu who hurt all her folks and has no real understanding of her evil traits. Abhi is judging Tannu way better and even Daadis.

PS: Pragya was supposed to be the smart one who will set things right for Abhi! Daadi used to say get a bahu who sets people around you right.. Daadi believed Abhi gets manipulated and he needs a wife to show him the light. Not expecting Pragsy to fix Abhi's misdeeds but at least let her not push him into more problem than he is already in.

The point isnt here whose crying or suffering more. I know abhi isnt that distraught i mean he just realised his feelings whereas pragz is more in love with him eventhough hes emotionally attached to her. Karma is more to do with what both of them got themselves into i.e abhi misunderstanding pragz and pragz not clearing it, also when abhi starts to understand whats shes really like he should have let her free or when he found out shes not the girl that he thought and pragz willing to stay till he wants her to go bcz shes in love she shud have went really so both are goin through this cz of der choices they made...as far as i see it her character is consistent she was practical at one point then fell in love. And love is not practical otherwise thats not love. Before she was acting what she thought was right practically. Now shes thinking with her heart even if its making her do silly things and thats pretty realistic as far as it goes towards my knowledge. Im not siding one or the other. Both have flaws...shes definitely not shipping tanu shes shipping abhis baby...its all abhi and dadi for her...

What is the bigger picture here ? I wonder. The fact is the core audience connects with selflessness and sacrifice in the bahu much more than characters who think of their own lives. That's why we have so many soap bahus going that route and the shows are super successful including this one. The core audience who watch on TV are older people , married,many with kids. They would have themselves sacrificed or compromised at some point in their lives for their families ,that's why they connect. That's what EK cashes on in her soaps. That's why Pragya is made to behave this way

do u think kb is still maintaing the trps because of pragya mahan sacrifices ??

When pranu was focused the trps fell and the show stoped to 8th position

Rabul marriage, Abhigya abortion drama , dadi knowing the truth and now confession is making people watch the show though they are annoyed with pranu. ( when Pranu was shown too much and shabir was holidaying the trps were low )

A v few people connect to the mahanta.in general people are not mahan and selfless.

some of other soaps that my mum watches are based on bahu and saas and the bahus are busy sorting out everyone from their in laws which includes extended family and husbands problems and dont have time to romance their husband and these are in top 3 and they stretch too. Pragya is better...she doesnt go around aliyah to mend relationships with her at the start of her marriage even if aliyah is mean to her doesnt matter, she never helped raj when she knew and clearly told him when she went to visit him in jail that i know who done this and will help you out. But i think she covered that up once he was asking her you know who it is. Other bahus would be doing everything but spendin time with hubbys. Even with askash thing she never reali helped till everyone was at akashs case to get him married. Even with mithali and tayaji she doesnt keep an eye on knowing well of their nature. I only watch this show and im aware of others bcz my family watches them.

Yes I know a lot about soap bahus. This is not the only show I watch. The no. 1 soap on TV , the bahu is the epitome of mahanta. Never had time for husband much but all the time to solve problems for in laws and extended in law family. That show is running for 5 yrs successfully.EK s other 2 soaps now , and her soaps since KSBKBT most had mahaan bahus and they RULED the telly world. One can find different reasons for a soap's popularity , but the fact is most bahu are mahaan and selfless and appreciated by the older gen which form the core audience. In EK s other soap also the heroine tries to get the hero ,her hubby married to the girl she thinks is carrying his child ,in spite of knowing how much he loves her. She even tries to make him hate her so that the hubby marries the girl. Only when she knows the girl carries some one else's child , she stops. That show is hugely popular too.
Here Pragya does not know yet her hubby loves here.
All TV bahus like archana ,Tulsi,Parvati,simar,gopi,Anandi,bani,ishaani,iccha-the list is endless... have been selfless and sacrificing and the shows have been very successful. Maybe youngsters don't connect with mahaan bahu ,but the wider audience still love them in soaps.
