protecting abhi...

yes it was probably wrong of sarla ma..purab and the rest for not wanting the police to arrest Aliyah,,,i quite agree she should be arrested and punished...but looking at the situation from their feelings they are doing this for the sake of abhi...abhi has always been there for them...seeing about their needs...helping in everyway...yes he is a kind..loving..generous..sweet person...we have all gotten to know this as well...this situation with Aliyah is killing him...and it will destroy his mind a little more if she is arrested and brought to trial...even bulbul was sad when pragya told her that abhi had broken all ties with Aliyah...he will not support wrong...yes he did in the beginning but that was for the love of his sister...(and we are all glad that he did marry pragya...because we have this beautiful couple to look at...) and he realized his mistake when he fell in love...and abhi was realizing pragya was good and kind not long after he got married to her...so yes he was blinded by the love of his sister..his only sister who he nurtured from small...sarla ma is not biased towards pragya...but like any mother wants to protect her daughter's marriage...and according to her this is a family matter...so it will be handled by the family...she maybe wrong but she is also right...because in this scenario it will be the same in a lot of families...(this is the only thing cv's are being a little real about)...so for the love of abhi the family will not put him through more stress...

Although Abhi is devastated and shameful of what Aaliyah did, he is not supporting her at all. He has cut off all relations with her technically (it hurts him but making Aalu know she is damn wrong is more important to him) and would have said same thing to the media if left on his own. Daadi and Pragya made him keep Aalu in the house. They better cover up for him now.
Yeah Pragya protected Abhi at that moment but it's not exactly how Abhi wanted things.
