I'm going to go off on a random tangent again (something you guys aren't exactly talking about right now and probably have talked about before but I want to get some stuff off my chest):
So many people criticise Pragya's fashion sense. Articles are always mentioning how Pragya needs to lose those glasses and wear other things than her chatris.
The thing is, what Pragya wears is truly unique to her and it is a part of her character. No one else wears her chatris in the show. Heck, no one else in the TV industry wears her clothes! She's truly unique!
In the show, you'll realise each character has their own style. Tanu and Aliya wear different sorts of dresses, Bulbul normally a top and pants (casual), Purab always in a shirt and even the Dadis and Sarla Ma have their own salwar kameez style going on and I love how the team have done that. Even Abhi, like Pragya, is actually wearing the same style of tops and pants, just different colours!
Also, another thing that annoys me is that one of the biggest jokes of Indian dramas is that people are dressed up all the time, with heavy gold jewellery and perfect make up even while they're sleeping, and yet, when finally a TV character wears perfectly normal clothes (making her more realistic than any other character), people go off criticising her!
I know some people criticise her chatris because they believe there are better chatris out there (I agree with this) but the awesome thing about it is whenever she does wear different style of clothes, it's truly special and the audience appreciate the effort way more!
What I like is what they've done about the glasses. The glasses have become an important motif for the show and Abhigya's relationship. Abhi loves her glasses and I do too!
And finally, my last point, Sriti J rocks every outfit. She makes the blandest dresses look spectacular with her attitude, awesome acting and lovely personality. Her simpleness in style makes her all the
more loveable but I also look forward to seeing the future 'special dresses' in the weddings/occasions to come! 😃
