I have to make some sense of the episode today, so I've written this post as a ray of hope for myself and anyone else who is looking for some. I think the episode itself was disappointing because the CVs have used a most ridiculous concept to unfold this mess... But admist all this darkness I see some light... Here goes...
Scene of the Episode (not favourite definitely not a favourite)
The moment when Pragya admits she doesn't love him and the rain comes pouring down. I don't know about you but I see a lot of metaphors. The rain really has washed Pragya of any emotion she has had towards him. If not washed then definitely evolved her feelings. Apparently it's washed away her ability to think straight and logically too. They've approached a storm in their relationship and right now there are no calm waters. On one side we have the battle of the hearts and on the other side the battle of truth. Both likely to cause a lot of destruction and render a lot of casualties. I can't help but think that our Pragya will be the one to suffer the most.
Pragya the mahan..
At the start of the episode we see Pragya battling with her inner feelings. All of a sudden her love for Abhi has become illegitimate in the face of something more innocent - Abhi and Tanu's unborn child. True to her character she would rather sacrifice herself than let something without fault take the fall. This is what Pragya has been doing throughout the show so far, be it for her mother, dadi, sister or even Abhi. So it's not out of character for her to do this now. If anything it's impossible to think now that she would act in any other way. If there is one thing that we can say about her, practical Pragya thinks logically. She lays down all the facts and comes to a conclusion. Emotional Pragya is less so. She thinks with her heart which is a righteous and pure one at that. By taking (what she thinks is) the "high road" she is saving Abhi from making any difficult decision in the future, which may in turn impact the unborn child. True she has not taken the correct path, but at this point In the story it's important for her to completely destroy her image in front of Abhi, so that there is no coming back for her. Or at least that's what she thinks. Which brings me on to our Rockstar...
Abhi The Successful Failure.
We all know Abhi is an egotistic, speaks before he thinks kind of a guy, and true to his own character he has done just that. On one instance he has claimed to love Pragya (Finally) but in the same moment he has completely failed to understand her. Throughout the show Pragya has pleaded with him to believe her, and to accept that she has been telling the truth on numerous occasions. In the direst of circumstances he has always called her a liar even if she had been telling him the truth. So why then today does he believe her and take her words for face value when she did in fact lie to him? Why? Because Abhi's actions today need to be completely unredeemable so that when the truth does come out, only then will he understand the gravity of what Pragya has been through. Off
Course this also paves the way (I hope) for an excellent redemption track. Furthermore Abhi has failed to read Pragyas emotion... He started by acknowledging that in desperate times Pragya would never joke, but notice how quick he was to dismiss this? We have seen in the past 2 weeks he has little intuition when it comes to his own feelings and it's becoming increasingly apparent it's going to take some third party help to aid him in figuring this bad boy out too.
The Slap
This part of the show I really didn't understand. It is hard to analyse why in this modern day and age a husband would hit his wife for playing on his emotions. The only thing I can take from this is:
1) The first and most obvious reason - come on guys he was testing Purab's theory!!!
2) Abhi needs to gain back control -
What better way than to physically hurt Pragya. Almost like a tit for tat - if you rip a chunk out of my heart then there's no way I'm not getting a piece of yours. But oh wait apparently you don't have a heart - never mind I'll settle for you cheek instead
3) This is literally the final straw - if Future Abhi had any making up to do before, after that thappar his workload exponentially increased in size.
Other points to note:
- Pragya may not have mentioned Tanu and her baby directly but there were several times she was referenced as the reason Pragya couldn't love Abhi. Unfortunately as we have now come to realise, it's too early for Abhi to have connected the dots. It looks like this is one he is going to have to figure out himself
- Aliyah, she really is her own brand of crazy. This minuscule amount of attention Purab is giving her, is affecting her motives.
She's not only moving further away from his love, but also very soon his friendship. She keeps forgetting about Bulbul and eventually I think it's this that will make her snap. It is quite clear that Aliyah is not aware of Tanu's pregnancy and I wonder how she will react when she finds out. Purely because once Purab finds out as well she is going to have to choose between her love and best friend again. We all know just how selfish she can be.
- Purab is playing with fire. Son, in most cases normal People don't stick around their crazy psycho Ex's, but in your case we accept that it's not quite possible to cut her out completely, having said that though I have four words of advice. Keep at arms length. I would hate to see a situation where Purab and Abhi fall
Out again because he has supposedly "led on" the rockstars sister.
Progress Points:
Well I think it's safe to say that today there were none. If anything we took
1 step forward to be unceremoniously thrown 12 steps back.
One thing we have learnt is that Abhi and Pragyas relationship is still new and considerably weak. If anything it has been proven that Abhis love is still conditional. He hates her for changing him. And hate is such a strong word. If he truly loved her he would have understood she was lying and that she was most certainly hiding something. I'm afraid there is definitely still more work to be done on that front and it doesn't look as though it's something that will be achieved overnight. But at least we can take comfort in knowing once they do rebuild this relationship it will be a force to be reckoned with.
One thing I am happy about though, Pragya did not involve Purab or Bulbul in her ridiculous plan. This is also comforting to know for one of two reasons:
1) it means that Purab and Bulbul can still be used as allies. Abhi will still listen to them and take advise if needs be
2) Bulbul is a fiery soul. If anyone can get to the bottom of this, she can and right now I'm hedging my bets on her playing a big part. My opinion on this may change but for now I stand firm.
It will be interesting to see now in tomorrow's episode how both parties deal with the after math. Will Abhi open up to Purab? How will Pragya continue down this path of self image destruction ? Whatever happens, one thing we can be sure of is that it will be a damn bumpy ride...
Thank you muchly for reading,
Please do let me know what you think :)
