no, this is not the drabble i mentioned pakaoing earlier in the thread

please note that this is set in some future abhigya happy time, when they're fully comfortable with each other and are in 'stable married mode' :P

*abhi walks into the bathroom whistling as he heads to the shower...not that it's relevant but he's wearing only his boxers and he as a towel over one shoulder ;)*

*pragya (who is fully dressed in a house chatri, again not that it's relevant) is leaning over the sink counter, getting up close to the mirror...and because she's startled by her husband's unexpected entrance, she drops her scissors with a loud clatter*

p: arre!! aap bhi naa!! didn't you see the door was closed, you can't just barge in like that!

a: it's my bathroom, of course i can barge in

p: it's OUR bathroom

a: it's our bathroom, of course I can barge in

p: ufff!!!

a: what are you doing anyway? *attempts to walk closer to see what she's up to*

p: *holds out her hand to stop him* nahin, aap door rahiye. you just take your shower, i'll be done before you're out.

a: but what do you need scissors for? and why have you got a pile of cut locks next to you? don't tell me you're making another weird scrapbook -

p: that was only the one time!

a: then what are you doing now?

p: uff! i'm just trimming my ends! why must you know everything!

a: trimming your - what, you're doing it yourself? at home?

p: obviously

a: tum bhi naa!! why do you keep forgetting you are a rockstar's wife? you're supposed to go to a salon for that kind of thing, or at least have the stylist come to you.

p: just because you have tonnes of extra money doesn't mean i should pay people to do what i've been doing my whole life.

a: it's not about the money!

p: i don't care what it's about. you go take your shower, i've only got a few left to do ok.

a: you can take the girl out of chembur, but you'll never get the chembur penny-pinching practices out of the girl

p: why do you have to be so mean about me being from chembur 😔

No, I meant never. Every time he says the words without intending them, they lose meaning. And Abhi's not the type to express his real feelings in words anyway. When he knows he loves her, he'll find ways to prove it. Soppy heart-melting speeches won't be prime among them.
