I have a question of what last promise he is talking about?

If they ever showed that he did promise to Alia about bringing Bhabhi back..before his leaving..or when the news was out that Pragya is kidnapped,..like at that time Alia was faking..so if she asked for a small promise from him about the same?

And he at present when was saying those things...might have believed that since he could not himself take Pragya home..so his promise will not get fulfilled

Or it was purposely about Alia and Purab?😕
