You could always bring out new/extra dimensions to characters with some past justification.

Definitely road 2. In character...I can understand why that matters to you but I don't think it should. go with what is more compelling to you. And as tia said, you can probably find a way to add shades to the characters to justify the new direction.

Do we have to see Pragya helping Abhi to marry Tannu in a - merey husband ki shaadi- track?

Getting Pragya kidnapped has to be for making Abhi realize his attachment to Pragya. Would he not dwell on that or let it go considering Tannu commitment and an assumption that even Pragya wants out.

I wanna see husband ke shaadi track, but cvs would probably make it unbearable w pragya's characterization

We still have that love letter. Tannu will find it but would she forge it into something else or just destroy it? The latter would be better.
But Tannu is an expert in forgery.

It would be more of Pragya's silent tears than Abhi's confusions. :-(

I think shaadi track would be the answer to taabhi baby. But maybe cvs will surprise.
