Well the way I see it is, it's really a combination of factors.

1. They want to make a show last, so they will try to stretch the story line as much as they can with seemingly pointless fillers.

2. Not all fillers are actually pointless. I'm actually glad you brought this up, I know a lot of people were really upset about the 'fuggy' twist yesterday when they were hoping for a nice romantic pet name - but to be honest I'm kind of glad there isn't one, because I believe the pure silliness of the name showcases something WE haven't been understanding yet.

a. Abhi isn't going to give Pragya a romantic pet name yet because he doesn't have romantic feelings for her yet. As far as he's concerned they are two people stuck together because of circumstances - and he is basically treating her like a friend. An annoying, friend who he alternatively wants to murder and protect, but a friend none the less. This is a very important point because not only does this explain why Tanu is still around, but it also tells us that the actual redemption, the real break through we've been looking for in their (Abhigya's) relationship isn't visible yet because it isn't here yet.

b. It also showcases, that despite all intentions to the contrary Abhi is afraid of Pragya. He's afraid of the moments he can't explain or understand and as such deliberately uses humor as a shield. His 'fuggy' is just a big fat highlighted version of this point.


Based on the math I've done though, to pull off two shows a month, there are a minimum of 40 scripts. Five a week for about four weeks, each. And that is non-inclusive of all the rejected scripts or last minute changes.

They do work pretty hard.

Then again all this is just IMO. 😊

That's exactly what I wrote somewhere in the AT about AbhiGya relationship. Now it's friendship from Abhi's side. He could not have fallen or friends with a girl who was supposedly destroying his sister's life. Now that the MUs are over and Pragya is still willing to stay with the marriage, he is seeing her in a different light not exactly in a husband-wife equation. She is a person whom he is growing fond of.. at a human/friend level, knows that she is a nice, caring, genuine being..and he loves hanging out with her etc. He is not romantically inclined much towards her although there is definitely an undeniable affection/attraction he has for her. So he could not have come up with a nice name so soon. But the fact that he had that name ready for her beforehand and even had done some internet searching to find her baby pic etc.. is so cute!!

I think Pragya will also re-discover him and hopefully fall in love in a better sense than she has been so far, which is just admiration for him for saving her family and standing up for her at times.

Tannu is one thing he really needs to deal with but I guess he will do that once he realizes the woman he is craving for is Pragya and Tannu has faded away.
