My version of Kumkum Bhagya

So now I am going to pen down the basic idea of how this story which to me would have worked out nicely. I would have written a fanfiction since that is basically what I am good at rather than analysis comparatively speaking but my exams is going on so I can't do that. But if anyone is interested they can take up this idea. I am not exactly changing the story so far, just adding some logical points. If anyone does write a story regarding this than please PM me. I really want to read something along these lines.

The story started out nice till Pragya-Suresh marriage broke. During this time I would have loved a Back story for all characters especially Aliyah-Abhi-Purab and Tanu, Abhi and Purab's friendship and Aliyah-Abhi's bond. It would also help us understand why Aliyah is higher than Purab on Abhi's list. Some really good Pragya Bulbul Sarla scenes would have been a treat. Then we would come to Rabul break up. Here 1st they should have shown Bulbul seeing Purab with Aliyah where Aliyah is all touchy so she asks Purab about it. Purab gets all scared and lies and Bulbul believes him. Purab there and there decides to talk to Abhi. He forgets his phone or something with Bulbul and gets a call from Aliyah. Bulbul picks up and hears Aliyah ask about marriage dates and saying how he doesn't take care of his fiance who has just returned from Australia. On the other hand when Purab goes to meet abhi he instead meets up with Aliyah and so he decides since he is breaking up with her she should be the first to know. He tells her that today he hurt the one he loved by lying to her and so he doesn't want to lie anymore. Aliyah is shocked hurt and gets angry. Aliyah yells at him asking how he can leave her for any random girl and Purab getting all defensive says that Aliyah could never compare to the one he loves for she is simple sweet and everything a man would want. Bulbul breaks up with Purab without listening to him as she is very hurt. Aliyah decides to go knock some sense into Purab the next day and sees Pragya there who has come to scold Purab for hurting her sister. Aliyah only sees Purab trying to pacify Pragya but doesn't hear what they are saying. From outside it seems like a scene where a boyfriend is trying to pacify his girlfriend and Aliyah thinking of Purab's words earlier mistakes Pragya to be the one Purab was talking about.

Now you see this entire scenario is not much different from the in the serial. But here Purab has love Bulbul and hence doesn't want to hurt her so he just tries to solve everything behind her back on his own which is very important. Bulbul on the other hand seems justified in her stand to break up because she did ask him about Aliyah and he lied to her. And we viewers are given more detail and time to absorb and understand why everyone did what they did.

The next part no matter how I look at it seems ridiculous. But let's go along with it.

Abhi sees a distraught Aliyah who tells him how Purab was snatched away by another woman. She tells him about how that woman seemed poor hence she must be money minded. Now here if there were scenes shown in flashback where similar incidents had happened wherein women had tried to seduce Purab to get his money or to get to Abhi it would have helped us understand just why exactly Abhi was so ready to believe Aliyah. Also it would have helped if Abhi too had seen Pragya and Purab together but never heard them. This could be outside Pragya's college where Purab had been waiting to talk to her to convince Bulbul to talk to him once. If he saw Purab give Pragya a gift intended for Bulbul to him it would confirm Aliyah's accusations.

Then the story could go as it was I guess since with this track that's all I can come up with.

And in all this Tanu could have been a little substantial. Her part is coming up in which she is going to say she is pregnant. That is a track I don't know what to feel about. Because I am sure Pragya will be on his side even though she has every reason to believe Tanu. But her heart will say Abhi didn't do it even though Abhi himself is not sure. This is a bit supernatural for me.

But I would love if the following happened.

Abhi hears the news from Tanu. He doesn't know what to do. Pragya is still in her Mayka. Arora's hate him. So now he knows and feels truly that he doesn't deserve someone as stup.. err sorry I mean mahan as Pragya so he sends her the final proceeding or formalities of their divorce. That very night he sits in his bedroom and cries just like Pragya did on her very first night in the house after she saw him with Tanu. He realises that he loves Pragya and that is why he should let her go so that she can have a normal happy life. But for that he needs to make sure that Pragya is never blamed for this. So he arranges a press conference to announce his divorce. And there he openly declares that he is taking this divorce for the girl he loves and for her he is leaving his wife. Even though he does not mention the name of his love we viewers know its Pragya. And then his popularity takes a solid dip as he to the world he left his wife for another woman so he was cheating on her. Bulbul and Sarla's words come true and he is not happy after letting go of Pragya and lost everything and best part he did all this to himself.

And before you credit me for the plot in the above paragraph let me tell you it's not mine. It's from a Korean drama Full house which used to air on Sahara Firangi.

Abhi and Pragya's marriage is legally destroyed but at heart they still remain married so Kumkum Bhagya too plays out well.

As for Tanu I am sure that they will just make her run away at the 1st site of Abhi's fame dipping.

What a shame. Actually the entire plot regarding Tanu is an interesting topic to me. Because I can write loads on it so here I am making another post for it. If interested please read.
