Hey guys! Thank you for all the lovely comments and likes! Means a lot!😃

So here is Chapter 08! I dunno how you all will take this as this is probably not what you have been expecting. You might even consider this as a filler update. 😕 😃

But somehow I wanted to include this chapter for few reasons and I assure you this is important for the ending I want! 👍🏼 Don't want to spoil it for you guys. So go on and read and do let me know what you think! 😛

A Life without You...

Chapter O8


"Daadi! Daadi! Daadi!"

Abhi swirled his Daadi around the room.

"Arrey Abhi!? What happened? You seem to be in a good mood!"

Daadi managed to utter as she giggled like a school girl as her grandson began to twirl her. He seems to be so happy. Just like old times. No more than old times. More than she has ever seen him. So happy. So carefree. Like a child.

"Yes Daadi! I love Pragya! I love her! I LOVE Chashmish!"

Daadi stopped and clutched Abhi's hand tightly.

"Abhi! Oh Abhi! Finally! I am so happy! When is she coming home? What did she say? Tell me everything!"

With each question Daadi asked Abhi's happiness seems to be vanishing in to thin air while uncertainty and insecurity pave their way into his soul.

When is she coming home? I don't know. What did she say? She didn't say anything. I am just going by Bulbul's words! It could be wrong! After all why would she love me! Oh! How stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

Daadi watched as Abhi slowly sat on the corner of her bed. Something was wrong.

"Abhi? What happened?"

"Daadi! I am so stupid! So so stupid! Bulbul convinced me Pragya loves me too... And then... And then... It just felt so right! So true! That I just came running here to share this with you! Daadi, she might not even love me! Daadi what am I gonna do? What if she doesn't love me! I mean I didn't expect her to love me at first... But then when Bulbul convinced me I just... I just... Daadi I just don't know what I would do now! I can't live like this. I hate this life without her!"

"This is the limit!"

Aaliyah thought to herself as she heard her Bhai's words. She was coming to see what the commotion was and had been a silent spectator to her Bhai's confession.

Bhai loves Pragya! And he hid this from me all this time! Why? Of course he knew I wouldn't have liked it at all. That's why.

Now I have to do something! I have had enough of all this!

Aaliyah turned on her heel and went towards the stairs.

Daadi sat down next to Abhi and took his hand.

"Abhi? Why don't you go and talk to her? Talk to her and see. I am sure she loves you too! But first you two need to talk. Try to sort out all these issues. Start a new life. Look here! You trust me right? Then I am telling you to go and see her. Right now. Tell what is in your heart. Will you do that?"

"But Daadi... What if she says no? Then what? What if she says we are better off as friends!? That would be the worst! No Daadi I can't!"

"Okay then sit here and worry about all the what 'Ifs'! That would solve all these issues haina?"

"Daadi..."

"Go! Just go! And talk to her right now! Okay?"

Abhi looked at her for a second and nodded.

"Kya! You did all this and didn't even tell me once?"

"Sorry Daadi! It was all so sudden and we forgot to tell you. Sorry!"

"Bulbul! You forgot me?"

"Oh ho Daadi ab gussa chodo na! We have to make Di realize she loves Jiju just as he loves her!"

"Abhi? Abhi loves Pragya? Who told you? He told you?"

"Haan... Daadi we just met him. He admitted that he loves Di. Now we have to make Di realize... Daadi do you have any plan?"

"Plan? Ab kya plan? I am not going to help you!"

Daadi hid her smile as she left bewildered Bulbul and Purvi behind to wonder what has gotten into their Rockstar Daadi.

"Hmm... Now keep wondering! So this means Abhi loves Pragya too. Both love each other... Bus they just have to confess. And for that they should just have to sit and talk. Then everything would be alright. Sarala wouldn't like it... But I would make sure they get back together. Haan... I will have to do something!"

"Bulbul what happened to Daadi? Why is she behaving like this..."

Purvi couldn't finish her question as she saw the person standing in their hallway. Bulbul followed her gaze.

"Aaliyah! You! What are you doing here?"

"I am here to see Pragya."

"I won't let you meet her!"

Bulbul dragged Aaliyah towards the door. But Aaliyah resisted her and pulled back her arm.

"Bulbul! Just let me go! I am here to see Pragya and I WILL meet her. You cannot stop me!"

"You are not going to see my Di! I am not going to let you hurt her again!"

"Just let go off me!"

"No! Just leave!"

Sarala Ma and Daadi came to see what the commotion was about, only to find Bulbul arguing with Aaliyah while Purvi stood nearby trying to stop them.

"Aaliyah! You! Here! What are you doing here?"

Sarala managed to ask.

"Aunty, I am here to see Pragya and Bulbul is not letting me meet her."

"To meet Pragya!? Why?"

"Aunty actually first I have to talk to her..."

"NO!"

"I am sorry but I have to..."

"Well, you should be! You destroyed her life. And if you think after all this I would let you meet her anymore then you are sadly mistaken! Please just leave!"

"But Aunty I have to meet her! I have to talk to her! Soon!"

"Whatever you want to say just tell it to me. Then I will decide whether to tell her or not."

Aaliyah sighed internally. God! Why do they have to be so difficult! And what am I supposed to do now? I better tell Auntyji. Don't know how she will take this but I will do whatever it takes!

"Aunty... I don't know how you will react to this. But I just want to talk to Pragya about my Bhai."

"What? Oho... Now I know why you are here. You are here to threaten Di right? You are here to scold her, insult her for taking your brother away from you and whatever rubbish you have in your head right?"

"Bulbul please you stay out of this! I am not here for that. Actually I want to ask her to accept my brother and to come back... Come back home... With me..."

Aaliyah waited for their response, and when none came she slowly raised her eyes to find four pairs of eyes looking at her shocked. What is wrong with these people?

"Now will you please just go and call her?"

Daadi was the first to come out of her trance.

"Aaliyah you want Pragya to get back together with Abhi?"

"Yes, Daadiji... Now will you please let me meet her?"

Could this be happening for real? Purvi wondered to herself. I better make sure this is not a dream. I better pinch Bulbul and see!

"Ouch! Purvi! What is wrong with you!" Bulbul scowled at Purvi before she turned to Aaliyah.

"Aaliyah why are you doing this? You don't like my Di and don't deny because I know that for sure!"

Aaliyah stared at Bulbul for a second and decided to go with the truth.

"You are right. I don't like Pragya and more than that I don't like you! But my Bhai matters to me more than my dislike for you two! And if he can marry a stranger for my sake, the least I can do is to make sure of his happiness. And I have come to realize his happiness is with your sister! So if it's her then I am ready to let go of my dislike for his sake..."

Aaliyah saw Bulbul's eyes narrowing with her each word. Oh god! I can't believe I am doing this! Convincing Bulbul! This girl is the reason as to why I couldn't get married to Purab! But I will do this! Only for my Bhai! And may be for Pragya too... I can't deny that my actions destroyed her life. Especially when she wasn't even at fault.

"Okay Bulbul, you tell me! You don't like my Bhai that much too right? But still you are hell bent on making him realize his feelings towards your sister! Why? It's only for your sister's sake right? You can't see her in pain! You have seen how she was before and how she is after all this. So for her happiness you are willing to accept Bhai, because you know she would be truly happy only with him! So I am doing the same here! Hope you would understand!"

Bulbul couldn't believe her ears but still everything Aaliyah told seem to be genuine. They might have their differences but both truly loved their siblings. If I am willing to look past Jiju's faults Aaliayh would do the same for Di too. And if she is willing to accept Di as the wife of her Bhai, her Bhabhi it is good right?

"I understand."

Bulbul even managed a small smile and was pleasantly surprised to find it being returned.

"Okay then! Now will you all please let me meet my Bhabhi?"

"No!"

Aaliyah could not help it and rolled her eyes as Sarala prevented her from advancing. Gosh! Now what!

"Aaliyah you will not force Pragya to accept Abhi!"

"But Ma..."

"Sarala listen..."

Sarala cut off Bulbul's and Beeji's protests.

"No! You all please listen to me! I don't want any of you to talk to Pragya about this. And nor to Abhi! I don't want to force any of them. I have done that once and as a result today my Pragya is miserable. If they decide... Only if they decide to get back together, then I will give them my blessings and would support them throughout. Haan... I would even forgive Abhi for all that he has done. I only want Pragya to be happy. So do you all agree? Will you promise me that no one would intervene and to wait for them to sort this out?"

Sarala looked at Beeji for approval and Beeji thought for a second and nodded in approval, followed by Purvi, Bulbul and then Aaliyah.

Aaliyah was just coming outside when she saw Abhi's car entering into the neighbourhood. Oh no! He can't know I am here. Aaliyah quickly retreated back to Arora house while thanking her lucky stars for sending her driver away.

"Auntyji he is here!"

"What? Jiju? Already here?"

"Shhh Purvi don't shout! Ma now what?"

"Bulbul calm down. Beeji what do you think? I don't know what to do... He will be here any minute now..."

"Sarala first YOU calm down! Let them talk! Till then we will give them some space..."

"Beeji I think you are right. But where are we gonna go without him seeing us!?"

"Come let's go to the roof top. That way he won't see us leaving and we won't come in their way. Come quickly!"

This is not going to be easy.

Abhi thought to himself as he stood at the entrance.

I don't even know whether Auntyji would let me meet Chashmish. But I have to meet her today! And I won't leave without meeting her.

Abhi slowly entered Arora hallway only to find it completely empty. He peeked into the kitchen and found it empty too. Where is everyone? They must be around.

Abhi looked at the tea cups and snacks on the small table in the hall. The fan is working too. Maybe they are in the bedroom.

He slowly went towards the door and knocked on the door that was ajar. But no one answered. He slowly pushed open the door and found his Chashmish fast asleep on the bed still in the cloths he last saw her.

Finally he is standing in front of her. Finally the moment he has been waiting for has arrived.

Abhi let go off the breath that he has been holding onto unconsciously and stepped in to her room.

Note- okay what do you think? I think most of you were expecting something different, but I just saw it all coming down to this. Because,

1) I want AbhiGya to decide and realize on their own without any intervention.
2) Given AbhiGya personalities they would not be able to be fully happy if their families were unhappy.
3)Diah loves happy endings, so she is attempting to bring one while being true to their characters.😉
