I asked her to stay but she wouldn't listen

After misunderstanding is resolved and everybody knows everything, imagine Pragya is like "k it's been real but you're a terrible husband, I'm done with this fake shaadi, bye"; Abhi asks her to stay back for Daadi and because she's gotten attached to his family and because secretly he wants to have a real chance with her but he can't put that into words

She left before I had the chance to say

So Abhi doesn't give a proper apology or explanation, and she leaves anyway, and he's mopey and sad

Montage of Pragya back home in her childhood bed, relieved to be free of torture but sad because her life's a mess; meanwhile Abhi's lonely in their room, thinking of her, can't sleep and goes to the balcony but that doesn't help, and he wishes things weren't so complicated...

Abhi remembers the almost kisses, all the times when they accidentally got so close that he could feel her breath on his skin; Remembers their random bedroom nok jhoks when she would disturb his rest (yeah I know the line has a hotter implication but I just don't see that for AbhiGya :P)

The weight of things that remained unspoken
Built up so much it crushed us everyday

Abhi remembers all the misunderstandings and accusations he used to throw at her in normal conversations, how all the mess of obligations to Aaliya/Purab/Bulbul/Tanu/Daadi/Sarla just always weighed things down between them; Pragya remembers how even when they had good moments this stuff was in the background, and ultimately it won and they're done...

Abhi gets fed up of his feelings, decides he will try to live his life and forget about her, goes to some big function...someone else's wedding maybe, don't ask me whose😆

Abhi is surprised that Pragya is at the same function, they never knew they had this common friend. At first he just watches her, doesn't approach her, but thinks of how this is his chance, he will get her back tonight

The more he watches her the more he's convinced, he wants her back, he's going to manao her somehow, she'll come back and they'll try for real and it will be happy and positive...

Abhi is thinking how stupid he was not to try harder when she was already there, maybe she never would have left, now he will make sure to convince her they belong together and she won't want to leave

Then he notices that she's not just ignoring him, she doesn't even care that he's there; her attention is on other people, and she's laughing, making new friends, and maybe getting too interested in one person who is getting too interested back...

He interrupts between Pragya and her new friends but she just keeps trying to avoid him; finally he makes her listen and she is half-skeptical, half-hopeful. She says "this is stupid, we're better off apart" but she doesn't believe it and he can see that so he keeps convincing her.

Their argument goes on and on and finally Pragya just storms away and Abhi is sad and confused...but then she calls him from home and tells him to pick her up the next day, she's willing to come back

So Abhi's night is a success, even though technically he does have to go home without her that night...but it will be the last time, he won't need to go home without her ever again!

...Yeah ok that made more sense in my head😳But yeah. Love the potential of that song for Abhi. He needs to earn his second chance, in this song it's kind of all zidd and emo moodiness, but...yeah, just one possible story😊

like obvs they have both already seen each other first thing in the morning so it doesn't work...but you can imagine if prags woke up with super messy hair abhi would be all "bhootni! kya!" although he might secretly think it's cute too...
