Do they really matter to her?

She knows from the time he started, that he does it because he thinks of her as this extra ordinarily scheming, traitor.

And she knows she is not what he accuses her to be. She just stood and listened to everything because she had to protect her mother.

And she would also know one or the other day, Abhi will know the truth and she will have the last laugh.

So, I really wonder if his taunts ever bothered her much!

We never saw that she was sitting and hurting over his words either. So, yes, as hurtful as Abhi's words are, they carry no sense.

No matter what face we put to the world, words do hurt. Especially when they are words coming from someone you like.

Im pretty sure Pragya is hurt by the words and she is saddened by them and they do matter to her.

Its just that she doesn't show it and they don't dwell on it much.

But as humans, no matter who says something about us, friend or foe, even if it is true or untrue, they still affect us consciously or sub-consciously.

p.s. Pragya showing no emotion or outward hurt does not justify Abhi saying them.

I am not at all saying it justifies Abhi (the title had the words as mean- meaning they are mean indeed). I am saying- Is Pragya hurt as much as the words intend to hurt her?

Pragya sits and cries at the possibility of her Maa getting hurt or when she faced humiliation at the police station etc.

But she doesn't get much affected by Abhi or Aaliyah's taunts...

Why shouldn't be anyway.. because the context is illogical!

Yes, Pragya is nothing like what he accuses her of and whatever he says are about some mean scheming woman and that's not her. So she need not bother about it. That's exactly why I also don't take any of his words. He knows nothing about her reality although he in his subconscious mind feels she is innocent but all the proofs are against her and she too admitted that as true to keep BB away from this mess. I toh wonder how he didn't accuse everyone in her family as evil or scheming(because this is what happens in many shows. Sab ne milke phasaya bolthe hai).

She is not affected by his false blames and taunts as they are baseless but I think she might feel bad about he hating or misunderstanding her as she does want this relationship. So she would be feeling bad about the MU. But Pragya is too busy worrying about when her mummy will get heart attack, RaBul drama, aaliya-Tannu and abhi's MU. She has too much to handle to sit and think about baseless words.

Ok - the answer to your question is yes.

At least I think the words Abhi says do hurt her and do affect her.

Sense or nonsense, true or not - I'm sure they affect her in some way. If the words and him didn't matter to her, she wouldn't sit and reflect on them on the street side by her lonesome self.

I dont think aaliya or tanu s words make any diff to her. She does not get hurt by them. Her attitude is like .. let dogs continue barking. Only when she is in the mood she responds bk. Regarding abhi's words, in the initial days of marriage they may havr hurt. But now when he tells her sumthing mean her expressions look like she feels sorry for him. Sorry becoz she thinks though he is not bad at heart,he is so manipulated by his sis and gf that hr has lost the ability to distinguish right from wrong, he is not able to see the truth.
She always has that expression that she understands why he is saying these things and sad for him that he is wrong.

That's because Abhi met her folks on his own and made his decision without Aaliyah!!!
I think she feels worse about him being under MU and their marriage being a sham than his every day taunts!!

She felt bad that he threw her off from the house and cut their relation. But his accusations about her being horrible, selfish, traitor blah blah blah... Does she really get hurt by them? She is more hurt that he has MU than any of his words. That's why she sometimes tells him she wishes he could see right and wrong!

Yes, she rather feels sorry for him that he is getting it all wrong. That's why she gives back to Tannu, at least one wrong can be warded off of his way!
