Why it all looks like a big trap for Abhi!

So, Abhi thinks he is betrayed more than anything right now. It's because-

When Aaliyah got to know Purab is involved with some other girl (whom she assumes as Pragya), Pragya's marriage alliance was already at Abhi's door. It's only after that he decided to marry Pragya in order to get Purab to realize Pragya was not a good girl. In retrospect, Abhi perhaps thinks Pragya had planned beforehand to get married to him even before Aaliyah came up with her plan!!

Pragya also agreed to marry Abhi easily although Abhi thought she loved Purab. So her plan must have been that she will marry Abhi and get her sister married to Purab!

And when Abhi did tell her that he only married for revenge, Pragya was not even reacting much. Any girl would have walked out of the marriage or tried to fight for her rights. But Pragya rather was playing a good bahu to Daadi from the very next day.

Pragya never told Abhi that Purab loves her sister while she happily participated in Puliya wedding celebrations. She did tell him in a drunken state the possibility of Puliya not happening. So Pragya had it all planned all this while!

Again, when Purab ran away, Pragya told Abhi she knows nothing about it. But she exactly knew since a wedding mantap was ready for BB and Purab the very next day!

Above all this, Abhi had started to think she was a nice girl because of her good deeds that he saw and softened towards her. He covers her back for the whole time and at the same time she was busy betraying him by planning Purab's running away.

This is why Abhi has no remorse over what he did. Because the trap he put on Pragya is nothing compared to Pragya's master plan!! Abhi was only trying to make Purab realize Pragya was a bad girl but Pragya got Purab off of his wedding to Aaliyah and set things ready for her sister's marriage. She betrayed him at a personal level, betrayed his Daadi and of course Aaliyah!

So to him, it looks like he got trapped in his own trap (into a much bigger trap that he couldn't have imagined) and Pragya did everything under his nose without him realizing a thing!!!

Oh absolutely! And worse is like he said he actually started to believe her so he is also mad he fell soft

Even in his revenge he made sure not to hurt her folks but she didn't even think once before hurting his Daadi, that's what he thinks!!

I realized this when I saw today's episode (which is yesterday's episode for all you guys, I live abroad)
I suddenly saw Abhi's POV when he was explaining everything to Daadi and your post made it even more clear to me.
He had started feeling for Pragya ... And I'm really feeling for him now ...
But then, he is the one whom created the misunderstanding
All I can hope is for him to clear his misunderstanding

^The moment of truth has not hit him at all for the same reason. It will finally at some point. And he would feel worse than he would have felt had he realized now.

However much I dislike his treatment of Pragya, I can't really blame Abhi for misunderstanding her! With all that "evidence" stacked up against Pragya, what else is Abhi expected to think? As I keep saying, Abhi does not know what we know... he's going on the evidence that he has ... not to mention that he's similar to Pragya in that he's also protective of his Daadi and Sister!!!

What Abhi believes is his own problem. What Abhi does is Pragya's problem.

1. He was not just teaching Pragya a lesson when he married her, he was stealing his friend's love to get his friend back to his sister. He didn't have to teach her a lesson, uncalled for on his part. He was cheating and lying to his friend.

2. He did not ask daadi how the alliance was brought. Girls don't bring the alliance themselves. He is egotistic and dumb for not checking with daadi how the proposal came up.

3. He was at Tannu's that first night even before disclosing to Pragya the reason for the wedding. He stumped her and did not give her a chance to say a word even when she tried. He is a cheat and has a super ego.

4. He went to this extent to preserve his sister's love but he cannot brook the thought that Pragya kept the fact that Purab loves Bulbul from him. What a hypocrite.

5. He covered her blouse after ripping it, what an honorable deed. He could have just told her, she could have changed her blouse. He is dumb.

6. He developed a soft corner for her? Poking, dropping, torturing her 24/7? Even telling Tannu at Aliya's wedding it was only for one more day? And telling Pragya herself that? What a noble soul! A hypocrite of the first order.

7. He conveniently left out his and Aliya's parts while blaming Pragya to daadi, masterful acting or deluded thinking. He will never accept Pragya even if daadi forgives her? When did he ever accept Pragya? He caresses Tannu right after that scene and let's not forget that Puneet incident. Man has amnesia where his own motives are concerned. Hypocrite.

8. He made sure to protect her family? How? What did they do for him to be praised for not bringing up their names with daadi? Or should he be praised for not concocting stories about them?

9. Pragya hurt daadi is his thinking? What kind of a selfish ogre expects his wedded wife to be servile and loving to his family while he has never acknowledged her as wife and carries on under her nose with another woman? Sadistic & hypocritical.

Abhi to me at this point is a total loser. He needs to take responsibility for his actions and not imagine every problem in his world to be Pragya inflicted or created. Juvenile thinking along with delusion.

Abhi to me at this point is a total loser. He needs to take responsibility for his actions and not imagine every problem in his world to be Pragya inflicted or created. Juvenile thinking along with delusion.
