Why will Abhi stop Pragya from telling her mom the truth?

Spoilers have it that later this week Suresh will tell Pragya she should tell her mom the truth about her marriage. As she is about to, Abhi shows up and stops her. It's an obvious plot point to extend this marriage. A new article says its because he learns the truth for real but I'll believe it when I see it. I've already been tricked once on this. 😆

Until then, I'm curious to know what others think are his motivations. Is he up to something? Does he really learn the truth? Does he just feel bad about Sarla?

Abhi cares for people in general. That would be the primary reason he would have helped.
I think he would have done something like this even if Pragya was at the hospital and needed emergency treatment. Going by SBS, it doesn't look like he has learnt the whole truth. Because he is in his usual angry man mode and not exactly paying attention to Pragya or guilty of anything.

Now why he wants to take her back, mostly for his Daadi and Sarla and some gut feeling he might have about Pragya.

I can see why he helps. I want to know why he stops her from telling the truth. I guess in your prediction, it is not intentionally. She just responds to his care and decides against telling the truth to her mom?

Just not to give Sarla another attack and kill her, I guess.

I find it interesting that Abhi noticed Sarla's ill health and expressed genuine concern in his first ever meeting with her before the wedding. So he has realized how fragile she is!

He might still torture Pragya in some other way once she is in his home, but I think they will develop a new equation.

Now Pragya can also tell him she only married him for the sake of her mother whether he believes her or not, she was not involved in RaBul elopement. I just hope Purab clears it to Abhi soon.

Hope you're right Tia and the dynamic changes. The present dynamic is exhausting. It would serve him right to know his wife only married him for reasons that had nothing to do with him, his fame, name and fortune. 😆

I would like if Abhi told her- look, there is no future for this relationship. But let's live together for some time until your Maa gets better and you better come up with a reason to separate that won't hurt the elders.

That is an interesting idea. But it keeps them in the same pattern. He still hates her for something she didn't do and she takes his abuse for her mother. Something should shift, no? Or are we forever to see her put up with nonsense? 😆

Other. Guilty conscience, he realises that Pragya's fears for her mum are real and he shouldn't have inflamed the situation and plotted with Taanu and Aaliya which caused Taanu to tell Sarla about his marriage to Pragya and Bulbul/Purab's relationship. He is trying to repair the damage he caused, he now fears what will happen to his mother-in-law if Pragya confirms her worst fears. So he figures he can live with Pragya and make amends for what he did in the past to her thereby making his mother-in-law happy.

I think it would be more bonding and less nonsense! At least I hope.😊
Because now he is more upset that she "betrayed" him. That's personal for him. Before it was just for Aaliyah. So the torture would be more emotional, easier to see for us but more difficult for Pragya.
