She didn't really ask them to. She actually told them not to but they did anyway. There are a few threads discussing this (check the Pragya is selfish thread) so I won't rehash but all three mahan characters have flimsy and weak logic to enable the ridiculous plot. So basically, soap opera logic. 😆

I'll try to figure this...not very sure as I haven't watched all the episodes.

Once Bulbul learnt the truth of Pragya's marriage, she sacrificed her love to protect her sis. I'm not sure but I think Bulbul doesn't know that Pragya's going to be shown the door after Purab and Aliya's marriage.

Can't say why Pragya;s behaving like an ostrich though...just prolonging the inevitable, I guess.

Now Purab overhears something..maybe that Pragya's getting the boot that very night..so, he being the only smart guy in show runs away probably with Bulbul thereby making Ekta look logical for once!

Why can't purab and bulbul get married? What is going on and why is pragya leaving house? What is the whole story of the deal and why did pragya get married to abhi ?

It's a lot to explain but the basic thing is this:

Pragya's family desperately wanted her to get married but she has had a few broken engagements recently. It's making her mother really sick or something dumb like that. Abhi's grandmother is also sick and wanted him to get married too. Abhi and Pragya were constantly and randomly forced into situations where they fought with each other, before marriage. So there was a negative history there already. But we see a lot of signs that they are destined to be together.

Purab and Aliya agreed a year ago to be married after she returned from school. Meanwhile Purab fell in love with Bulbul. He told Aliya upon her return and she didn't take it well. She mistook Pragya to be his lover (he never told Aliya the name) due to a few encounters where she saw them together. She told her brother and lied that Pragya was after Purab only for money. Some irrelevant circumstances convinced Abhi of the same. He's under the belief she's a golddigger so he married her to torture her and keep her from Purab. He continues to carry on with his girlfriend Tannu. Pragya doesn't want out of the marriage because her mother is sick. She knows she has to eventually leave (Abhi plans to kick her out as soon as Aliya is married) but she's prolonging her mother's happiness for a while, and also protecting Bulbul (she knows Aliya will seek revenge against whoever it is Purab loves).

Meanwhile, Bulbul finds out the reason for the Abhigya marriage and thinks if Purab marries Aliya, Abhi will treat Pragya better and fall for her. She forces Purab to marry Aliya. Purab agrees to. I don't really know why - because Bulbul said so? Because they think Abhi will change his mind about Pragya? I don't know.

Anyway I think in upcoming episodes, Purab realizes Abhi will leave Pragya so he will run from the wedding.

I left out a bunch of things but that's the main plot.

Well Pragya tried to convince Purab not to marry Aaliyah, but Bulbul went ahead to force Purab to marry Aaliya.And I guess Pragya is trying yo buy time fo her mom. or maybe want to see her happy for a few days. On the other jand, if she tells Bulbul is the girl Purab loves, Aaliya would be out to get Bulbul and try to harm her
