Okay one more scene- I really wish Pragya had walked out of this wedding on day 2 when she figured out the truth about it. But since that didn't happen and we saw what all happened until yesterday, below is something I want to happen now.
P-Please listen to me.
The engagement ceremony of Purab-Aaliyah is concluded. Abhi didn't find the missing ring in Pragya's purse but there was some other ring. He saved himself with some tacky dialogues and all that. The actual missing ring was never found and Daadi gave some other ring to complete the ceremony.
Later that night, Abhi went to his room and found Pragya leaning on the sofa with tears flowing out of her eyes. As soon as she saw him she wiped her tears and looked away. He ignored her first and decided to sleep. But after a few minutes of tossing and turning, he couldn't take it anymore and just went to the balcony.
A- What is all this drama?
Pragya just sighed and didn't say anything. Her eyes were still filled with tears. Abhi clenched his fist and hit the railings. Pragya didn't know what to say or what to do. She was dumbfounded with the way her life had turned out since this marriage.
A- Look, I knew you hadn't stolen the ring. Let me be very honest with you. Aaliyah told me she put that ring in your purse so that we find it there and accuse you of stealth. That would give us a reason to... well, to free myself from this wedding. I don't really know how to make you walk out of this house. I just want you out.
Pragya closed her face with her hands as she couldn't stop herself from sobbing.
A-Please stop. You cry as if you are innocent. Why did you even play with our lives if you are so sad with what is happening to you right now? And what do you expect now? We still stay married? How is that possible? You don't love me and I don't love you. You just want my money and...
P-I don't want your money. I don't want anything from you.
A-Then why don't you walk out of this marriage, right now? I will give still give you some compensation when we sign divorce papers.
P-Abhishek...
A-Don't take my name.
P-Please listen to me.
Abhi looked away.
P-Could you give me some time?
A-Time, time for what?
P-My mother is unwell.
Abhi remembered that the first time he met Sarla Aunty. The very first thing he had noticed about her was that she seemed unwell. He turned to look at Pragya.
P-It was her dream to see me married. Her health has been recovering since my marriage. I don't know what might happen to her if this marriage breaks right now. I may be all that you accuse me of, but my mother is the most important person for me in life. I can not see her suffering. If you give me some time, I will figure out a way to convince her that my marriage with you is not working out. In the meantime, I will get my sister married so that my mother is happy at least from that side. I will also make sure she takes care of her health in this time and let her recover completely.
Abhi's heart somehow believed every word that Pragya said. He always had found her folks sincere. He never wanted to hurt them for her sake. He also thought about his Daadi. It was perhaps better to break this marriage slowly than at the spur of a moment. He played out different scenarios in his head.
A-What's the guarantee that you will do what you just said?
P-I can give you in writing that at the end of let's say 6 months, I will walk out without creating a mess.
A-Will you convince my Daadi too with the same thing that our marriage didn't work.
P-Yes, we should slowly convince her too.
A-Look Pragya, I am not at all happy doing what I have been doing since our marriage. But I will never let anyone take away my sister's happiness. Finally, she is engaged to her love. If you try to do anything to her or Purab, I will not even think a single second before destroying you. I am just allowing you to stay now because I don't want your mother to suffer because of you.
P-Thank you very much.
A-And I am sorry for... I don't even know if you deserve my sorrys. Just come up with a solid plan to get out of my life.
P-I promise, I will.
A-Alright.
Abhi walked into the room with a relief. He still wasn't sure if he did the right thing but he was not going to allow Pragya to play with his or his sister's life again.
Pragya wiped her tears determined to sort out her life, for one.
