Abhi was pacing back and forth in his room trying to figure out what to do. Pragya walked in saw him pacing and walked right back out. She knew better than to disturb him when he was antsy. Since the two years they'd been married she had gotten used to the little quirks that Abhi had and ever since then she'd known not to get in the way of him thinking. She smiled to herself remembering how he proposed to her six months after finding out the truth, remembering how he paced back and forth that night before bluntly telling her he'd fallen in love with her. She knew it was a hard time for him, Abhi the rockstar wasn't used to waiting on another person, but she had told him it was going to take her a while to get over everything that happened and believe in love again and he had been patiently waiting trying to amend his mistakes. She took one last look at her pacing husband and smiled before going to find Daadi, the only person who could deal with her Abhi.
Abhi couldn't help but pace his room. It had been an entire year since Pragya had asked him for time since he confessed. God he was such an idiot, of course she wouldn't forget all the torture he put her through. Even though he was trying his hardest to make up for it he saw it in her eyes. Every time something from the past came up or something reminded her of a stupid thing he had said, he'd see the hurt in her eyes. There had to be something he could do to show her that his love was real, to show her that'd he was the one who will mend her heart.
Abhi turned happy to see his Daadi, "Daadi I don't know what to do." Abhi said. "Main kuch khaas karna chahta hoon Pragya ki liye but I don't know what I can do to wipe away the bad memories."
"Beta who said wiping away the memories is the best solution. If you are going to avoid talking about or avoid saying anything that relates to the bad memories the both of you are just going to end up avoiding each other." Daadi told him.
"Matlab?" Abhi asked her.
"Matlab yeh, instead of trying to tip toe around the bad memories create new memories that replace the old ones." Daadi told him. "Do something that shows that you have grown and your love has grown from the old you. Make the bad memories turn into good ones"
"Thank you Daadi, you are just great sweetheart." Abhi said coming up with a perfect plan.
The next day Abhi was waiting for Pragya to finish getting ready so he could tell her the news.
When Pragya was finally done praying Abhi stepped in front of her grinning.
"Kya hua?" Pragya asked wondering why Abhi was so happy. Abhi continued to grin and took out two tickets and handed it to her. "Two tickets to Switzerland?" Pragya read confused.
"Yup," Abhi said putting his arm around her shoulders as they walked forward. "I was thinking we never did get a honeymoon, so why not go on one now?"
Pragya looked away from Abhi remembering everything that happened during her first honeymoon. Being in that room, praying that Abhi didn't reveal the truth of their relationship to the world during his concert, and being in that police station. She remembered his words at the end of the night, of him blaming her for what his daadi said.
"Sorry, I can't" Pragya said stiffly, "I have work." She turned and left the room.
Abhi sighed immediately, he saw the look that passed over her eyes. It was the same look she got every time she remember anything stupid he said. "Stupid," Abhi said, "Why am I so stupid."
When Pragya came back to the room with his coffee Abhi said, "I know I'm stupid."
"What?" Pragya asked looking at Abhi confused.
"I'm the most idiotic man on this planet." Abhi said again.
Before Pragya could say anything else Abhi said, "Dekho chashmish don't try and make me feel better, I know I'm an idiot. I'm worse than an idiot I'm just an awful person"
Pragya shook her head and opened her mouth again but Abhi cut her off, "I know why you don't want to go with me, you don't want to relive those memories again."
"Abhi, please I don't want to talk about that." Pragya sighed.
"We have to," Abhi said. "Because if we keep avoiding it, we'll end up avoiding each other for the rest of our lives." Abhi said silently thanking Daadi.
Pragya looked up at him and said, "Have you spoken to Daadi about this?"
Abhi looked away embarrassed knowing that she knew him well and said, "NO!"
"Anyways, Pragya the point is that I want to prove to you that I am worth it and that I love you and that I'm trying to make it work and that I want to replace those bad memories with good ones and that..." Pragya stopped Abhi's rant by putting her hand over his mouth.
"Chup! Abhi you and your stubborness." Pragya said laughing. Abhi couldn't help but smile at Pragya laughing.
"Abhi I know you mean well, but I can't." Pragya said.
"Why, why won't you give us a chance." Abhi asked her.
"Abhi please," Pragya said trying to get away.
Abhi stood in her way and grabbed her arms, "No Pragya, why!"
"Because I don't believe in love anymore!" Pragya snapped.
Abhi was taken aback by her answer, he didn't know what he could do at this point. "Pragya," Abhi said.
"Abhi it's not that, I just I can't fall in love again, I can't trust again for it to be broken or my heart to break again. I won't be able to survive another heart break." Pragya said to him.
Abhi cupped her face in his hands and looked straight into her eyes, "I promise you I will wait till you are ready and I promise you that I will fix this. Just please if not anything just have a little faith in me."
