How realistic is the character of Pragya?

A well-educated, brought up by her mother and still is unable to stand for herself. Agreed she is protecting her sister. But what I fail to understand how a lady with self-respect and dignity still continue to dance after falling once without any attempts to stop? And in today's promo she even allows to takeout her glasses without any objection, she does not even try to refuse. It's so hard to connect with the character of Pragya.

Take these characters with a pinch of salt. Actually not a pinch- a whole load of salt.

It's over the top drama.

Which character is realistic that way?
Which real life movie star/rock star you have heard to marry a girl he doesn't know?

Why people can't sit and talk for two minutes over a coffee than creating huge misunderstandings affecting everyone's life?

Who will remain quiet if accused of being another person?

It's some precious moments that we can connect with these characters, makes us follow them. That's about it.

I am hating the way Pragya is saying suniye to Abhi. Why is she not talking back when Abhi makes snide remarks to her when they are not near other ppl. She can still smile if she wants to when she is near her family or daadi

@ tiaradeol Yeah agree need to take with loads of salt.

Yes it's a drama and cannot expect the realism, but story put together should make some sense.

There is a reason for Abhi's behavior how valid is a different story, there is a reason for Prgya's silence for all the accusation. But there is no reason for taking all the humiliation the way Pragya has been portrayed to take.

Pragya wants to protect her sister so she is mum , Abhi wants to teach a lesson to Pragya, all is ok because its drama. But in the process main female lead should retain her character. Does she even try to stop on the stage and diplomatically and clearly voices that she is not comfortable to dance? When Abhi takes away her glasses, does she at least refuses confidently saying no as she cannot see? Different personalities react in different way but I see Pragya standing dumb.

Initially Pragya used to call him 'Tum". He even said "aap" to her.. Now it's all her "aap" and him "tum"

THis stupid MU yaar... majboori- so called.

Anyway let's hope once the marriage progresses she gears up and he tames down. Bahut tamasha ho gaya.

She showed a little resistance. She kind of snatched her hand from his in the end. I just hope it gets better with time.

I think Pragya just needs more time. Girls are socialized to be proper, to behave decently with elders and strangers and in-laws. Even an independent-minded girl has to play within the rules, or people will dismiss her as badtameez and ill-brought up.

Someone like Pragya earns respect by behaving with great respect to others as well as upholding her own self-respect. She cannot just immediately stand up to her brand new husband & sasural - she's still getting her head around who they are, what they believe about her,and what the stakes are for her. And a girl like Pragya will always think twice about creating a tamaasha in public when her family's feelings and reputation are involved - don't you think it would cause way more problems, awkwardness, conflict and confrontation if Pragya tried to walk off the stage? The last thing she wants is to show the world that she's in the middle of a big mess, since she hasn't figured out how to deal with it yet.

Pragya is still assessing the predators. Apparently everyone is impatient that she is behaving like floppy prey. I say, just wait and watch.

I agree with you it seems more odd because Pragya's character was presented completely the opposite of how she is behaving now.

Agreed she is doing this to protect her sister and keep her mother from bawling for the rest of her life. Very noble of her.

And I truly believe one has to suspend one's disbelief to watch these Serials.

But what upsets me is the fact that once a character is set up as a strong and fighting for justice kind of person then to make them into a boohooing... Woe is me...
kind of character does not sit well with me.

And why always show a woman being humiliated and not defending her self respect
with dignity and taking all this crap to stroke the hero's ego.

Pragya knows the people she is dealing with are wrong and that they themselves
have orchestrated this whole fake revenge marriage so I all would like to see her
stand up and tell them that she too is capable of making their life miserable if they do not lay off with the insults or she will go to the press and blow the whole thing up in their faces.

This way she uses her power on them just as they are using their money and fame to intimidate her.

This is just my take on this but then again this is Ms. Ekta's show and she has a formula that she keeps repeating on her audiences.

We either take it or move on to greener pastures.😆

Yes she is in a situation where she has to retain her Bahu, biwi image. Also she is not aware what kind of her action ignites what behavior from Abhi and his sister. Having patience, sorting out the situation taking her own time to approach shocking crises in her life, thinking in the best interest of loved once everything is ok.

She went to the stage at the insistence of others she tried to dance as well; any relative or in-laws would not want their bahu to fall down again and again on the stage. She can apologize with all and at least try to stop firmly and try to get down with a good gesture. After all she is a professor and she knows how to tackle the mass of teenagers J.

Pragya does not need to create thamasha, trying to stand up for herself can be portrayed in a good geture as well instead of showing her a dumb standing quietly when her husband is taking away her glasses. Abhi might still do whatever he is doing even after Pragya's objections with good gestures. But the question is why is Pragya shown so dumb.
