I somewhat agree. I mean, its okay that Abhi is going all berserk or whatever in his blind emotions but Purab is too pure a soul to deserve so much suffering. And why? Just because he was man enough and honest enough to tell the truth of how he felt?

Purab's respect and his Bulbul BETTER be restored to him. He is simply too white to deserve any kind of trauma.
