Yet another take on today's epi!

Abhi's behavior in today's epi was reprehensible - he said he didn't like to hurt any girl but that Pragya deserved to be treated like this - this was not just teaching her a lesson for being a gold digger, he was downright sadistic and disgusting.

Even if Pragya was a gold digger and had married him for money, so what? This is an arranged marriage, marriages happen for many reasons, he married to please his daadi, she married to move up in society and marry a rock star. Doesn't mean she is inhuman and needs to be treated like dirt. If he knew she was marrying him for money, he had a choice to say no but he went ahead just to remove her from Purab's and Aliya's path. Okay, so he married her for his own devious reasons, he needs to be tortuted too, if she can be tortuted for daring to make the guy slotted for his evil behen fall for her, he needs to be tortured for being a damn fool, egotistical ("you deserve to run behind my car not sit beside me", really? Does she look like the kind that would run behind your car, you are delusional, she has not even listened to your oh, very popular, happy, happy love!) and a sadist.

Abhi has no sense of propriety, no decency if he is meaning to expose Pragya at a reception in front of a whole bunch of people including his daadi (is he trying to prove to daadi that the besharam girl he found is better than the one she found for him?) and shame not only Pragya but her entire family publicly. This man deserves the boot from Pragya, evilness runs in that family, Akash, the aunt, the daughter in law, Mythila (?), Aliya, Abhi :(

Pragya has landed in a menagerie of beastly people. But they have met their match, not to worry, she will soon be the ringmaster and whip Mr. Abhishek Prem into shape and make him dance to her tune. Her name will soon be the only song ringing in his ears to the exclusion of all else and the man won't know what hit him.

As for Pragya, I actually thought she stood true to her character today. She smiled and put on a brave front for her mother, looked apprehensive when patidev asked her to dance. Gave him glares and pulled her hand out of his with a look that said "I could kill you except for the fact that I have some decency, more than can be said for you, so I will refrain from making an ullu out of you in front of the guests"

Pragya's decision to not tell Mr. Abhishek Prem the entire truth and nothing but the truth is a smart move on her part. She is already in this bind, why not take full advantage of it? "They think Purab is in love with me? Let them. Purab is a nice boy, honest, in love with my sister, and my sister is in love with him. Yes, he was promised to this wicked witch but why blame Purab for not wanting to marry Aliya and instead wanting to marry my sweet but feisty sister? I am going to lie low and let things be so that nice guy Purab can marry a nice girl, my sister. These idiots can try their darnedest to get me down but I really don't care for this jerk man and his jerk girlfriend. The last laugh is going to be mine."

This is what I read into her behavior today - much wishful thinking? Perhaps.

You make some excellent points! About Abhi's whole "you're an evil gold digger" attitude to Pragya, I've never understood why he doesn't make the connection that just like he started making money so that it would never be his family's "majboori" again, someone like Pragya can need and seek money under majboori of her own? The generalized vilification of women who want to marry rich is coarse and gross. I mean yes it would be wrong to "trap" someone for money but that's rarely the whole story...and in this case the whole "Pragya is a gold digger" story is entirely made up...🤔

I also don't understand how Abhi can reconcile his love for his daadi with his intention to torment the girl she has chosen for him. And plus he can take advantage of the image of being a good grandson by saying he agreed to marry Pragya for daadi's sake, but all the while he is totally disrespecting the institution of marriage and treating Pragya badly 😕

I like your vision of Pragya as ringmaster! She is a masterful lady so why not bring some order and decency to the zoo 😆 Looove your description of Abhi drowning in love for Pragya 😉

I also think you're 100% right that she stayed true to her character today, putting on a brave front for her mother.👏 And personally I love the tension that arises from 'I have more decency than you' contrasts in behaviour, well put! 😛

At this point in the story arc, the beginning really, we can expect a lot of annoying developments. Hopefully we don't devolve into insane plot twists to create drama for drama's sake, but...we probably will 😆

A well written post! Thanks.

I like how Abhi-Pragya track has forced this forum to have interesting posts.
I also love how Abhi generates such strong emotions and reading them.

Abhi is not a sorted out person. He has his negatives such as he is impulsive, overreacting, passionate, prone to err and all that. I am not surprised he did something like this. I am not in agreement with his foolishness to believe his sister and go on with this wedding or his treatment of Pragya (which rockstar marries an ordinary girl in a matter of a week?).

Having said that, within the limits of his atrocious behaviour, I like that he told Pragya the truth right away. He could have hid it from Pragya and made her suffer all the more where she is trying to be her best, while he is downright mistreating her.

And when the truth will come out, Abhi will be the ultimate sufferer. He will have no where to go, no face to show. Although Aaliyah is the one who mistook Pragya for Bulbul, Abhi will be the one who has to stand responsible for the fiasco. Just imagine what's in store for him! He will go to hell and back with guilt.

He is misbehaving with Pragya but Pragya is allowing him that by keeping the truth from him. I do not support that decision of Pragya either. Her mother can be made to understand the situation. Her sister doesn't need a person like Purab who couldn't keep his promises (Pragya doesn't know a lot about Purab as of now). And, IF Pragya does want to be Abhi's wife for other than her own reasons- such as she is a good wife believing to build this marriage- then, she can't be against Abhi's sister to favour her sister!

Mina (may I call you that?), thank you for the kind words Yes, I like the conflict filled interactions between the two as well except for the fact that he spent the night at Tannu's and that he made Pragya fall not once but twice today. That was a bit much.

Couldn't understand how Abhi thinks he can hoodwink daadi into thinking he is having the perfect married life if he fools around with Tannu right underneath Daadi's nose.

Thank you much, , yes, very interesting to see the different reactions of viewers in regards to Abhi and Pragya. Great point, I do think Abhi is not all sorted out either. Maybe his rise to stardom wrought with hard work and the hardships of poverty and being the sole caretaker of both his sister and daadi has not left him much time to ruminate on the finer emotions of love & fidelity. The girls he has known are the fan girls and even Tanu is no great specimen of fealty or tenderness. Pragya will be like a breath of fresh air in his life, she will infuse his life with the simplicity and grounding he so sadly lacks. He is rather full of himself at this point :)

That said, I did like that Abhi disclosed the sordid reason for their marriage and is direct in his hatred of Pragya. Another thing I liked in today's episode was the fleeting softening when he saw Pragya smiling at her mother. The avengeful look quickly took over but for an instant, he seemed to have been lost in that innocent smile.

I also liked Suresh's attendance at the reception, what a true friend. Did not like Bulbul's lecture to him, though the girl is astute. She was the only one when Abhi was spinning Pragya around who looked perplexed and she darted a questioning look at Purvi.

I beg to differ with you on one thing, I don't think Pragya is duty bound to disclose anything to Abhi. He has no intention of fulfilling his promises of marriage and so she is not tied to telling him the truth UNLESS she has decided to be the self sacrificing sati savitri wife and put up with his nonsense while trying to win his heart by being a good wife. I don't think Pragya wants that so she needn't disclose to Abhi any truth about Purab or Bulbul. She doesn't know the kind of person Abhi is, she doesn't know to what extent Abhi or Aliya could go to hurt Bulbul. She is living proof to the chaal they have conspired. Being cautious and not disclosing is the right thing, not only cos she owes Abhi nothing but also cos she needs time to digest and make sense of what is happening.

Remember what happened in Akash's case-
When Abhi was under the impression that his brother was not at fault, he supported him, like any good brother. But when the truth came out in front of Abhi, he was the one to beat him up. He also told Pragya that his mouth is shut in this matter because his family is fault.

Guess Pragya should remember that about Abhi. He will admit to his faults if he knows he is at fault.

(Pragya eventually will have to figure out this about her husband that he is a short tempered man who needs to be dealt in a certain way. I think had Purab told Abhi about BB in advance and in discrete, none of this would have happened).

I don't know what is Pragya's current decision on this marriage- I heard that there is a promo where she says if this her bhagya, she will accept it- if that is the case, again, she should tell her husband the truth.

Another reason (the most important reason) she should tell him the truth is her self respect. Seriously, why should she endure all that humiliation and wrong accusations?

Nevertheless, I saw in an off screen interview that Abhi will not know the truth as of now. So, the drama continues.

Yes, Abhi will feel guilty and remorseful once he finds out the truth. Read about that promo too about Pragya accepting this as her fate but have not seen it, did you see the Purab/Abhi/Pragya meeting scene? the link is posted elsewhere on this forum. Looks like Purab walks away and Abhi is gloating, Pragya is looking daggers at him.

Yeah saw that, but couldn't figure out what's off screen and what's on screen.
It seem even Aaliyah will know the truth, only Abhi will be spared from it.

Too much noise in the foreground, yes, I read too that Aliya will know but keep it from Abhi. She will probably blackmail Pragya about Bulbul and Purab using Sarla as an excuse :(

Arora Khandaan is too much into Rockstar as their damaad. Blind to see their girl's pain. Hope they figure out something after Tannu-Abhi dance.
But the actress playing P's mom also said she doesn't know anything about the truth. Blissfully unaware while P suffers alone. Purab ko toh kuch karna chahiye apni Pragya Di/Bhabi ke liye. It would be painful to watch this track.
