Over the threshold: An Abhi-Pragya one scene fiction

After Pragya's bidaai, Abhi's family reaches Mehra bungalow along with the newly weds. Daadi asks Taiji and her bahu to bring aarti. After the aarti is done, the fingerprint ritual etc. are also completed. Pragya enters the house along with Abhi.

Daadi: Abhi beta, ab tum Pragya ko apney haathon uthaa ke apne kamrein mein le jaao. Yeh riwaz hain.

(Pragya gets a little nervous)

Abhi (looks at Aaliyah with anger and then looks here and there): Daadi, No, I mean..

Daadi: Beta, aisa kaisey chalega. Pehli baar dulhan apney ghar aayi hain.

Akash: Haan Abhi, you have to do this man.

Abhi: Daadi, main nahi utha paaonga, yeh itni moti hain..

(Pragya looks at Abhi in shock and anger)

Daadi: Mera hatta katta naujawan munda aisi baatein kar raha hain? Main kuch nahi sunungi. Tum bas isey utha kar ley jao.

Abhi looks at Pragya and raises his eyebrows. He leaves out an angry sigh and picks her up in his arms as if she didn't weigh a thing.

Allah Waria 😆 plays in the background.

Abhi tries to look away as he walks. Pragya looks down. After a few seconds, their eyes do lock for a good few seconds. Everything goes in to the oblivion in those few seconds. 😳 Abhi looks away again.

Pragya (in a whisper): Doctor mujhe underweight bolte hain.

Abhi: Huh, ek hippopotamus (note his angrezi pronounciation here) ka weight toh hoga hi.

Pragya: Kya?

By now, they are almost at the door of Abhi's room, Abhi paces faster.

Pragya: Aap mujhe please neeche mat gira dena, jaise us din paani mein giraya tha... Mujhe peet mein dard ho gaya tha.

Abhi remembers that day and gets even more angry. He simply brings her feet down to the floor. It turns out that Pragya's bangles are tangled to his sherwani. She struggles to release them, but they get entangled further.

Losing his patience Abhi forcefully pulls her hand off of his sherwani and a piece of his sherwani is torn with the bangles.

Abhi: Excuse me! Tumne mera Manish Malhotra sherwani phaad diya! Tum sach mein villain ho yaar. Pata nahi kis sey shaadi kar liya.

Abhi walks off to the balcony with a torn sherwani and Pragya stands in confusion.
