Okay, most sane people would believe that outer beauty is not everything and that's very fair. But, let's just talk about outer beauty for the sake of argument since this show keeps referring to it time and again.

Seriously, do the writers of this show even know what bad looking is?From what angle is Pragya not good-looking and from what angle is she behenji type? Does wearing glasses and salwar-suit make someone a Behenji? I mean when will the Indian TV industry grow up? When will they break the stereotypes and cliches?

On any given day, Pragya is FAR FAR better looking and Suresh is no match for Pragya as far as looks are concerned. Please don't get me wrong and I am not demeaning Suresh in any way. But, I am sick of the writers of this show portraying that Pragya is someone most guys would not fall far.

Grow up, writers.

I couldn't have agreed more

I have been watching this show recently and I kept thinking about how Pragya is supposed to be not good looking and her marriage proposals keep breaking . We can all clearly see that Pragya is not only beautiful from the outside but she's extra pretty from the inside cause she has a very pure heart. So neither her outer beauty nor her inner beauty is getting accepted by anyone. Not even that weird Suresh. I totally agree he's no where fit for Pragya she deserves someone better than him. I can't believe he is the one who is rejecting her while he should be thankful to her for accepting him.

this is like shown in every Hindi show. Does a girl have to have her whole face covered with makeup and wear modern clothes in order not to be called a Behenji and not to be looked down upon as being uneducated and brainless.

I agree the Indian TV industry needs to grow up and change it's way of thinking.

I couldn't have said any better. Totally agree with you on this. Wearing a salwar-suit doesn't make a girl a behenji. People who think when girls wear salwar-suits are behenjis, those people are narrow minded and sick. It's our culture and you disown it grow up for once.
Pragya is so pretty and she is no where near a behenji people who think she is a behenji like come on now. Like wearing just dresses and western clothing make you rule everyone grow up

Thanks for this post.
I also felt so annoyed when Aaliyah kept on referring to Behenji type and Pragya getting rejected over for her looks. Pragya is beautiful inside out. Salwars and glasses won't make her look a Behenji. Although I agree that Suresh was so wrong in playing with her emotions I hope to believe his reasons for loving Bulbul and not Pragya are beyond looks. And I also hope that Abhi will be enlightened enough to appreciate Pragya without her ending up to look like a supermodel.
The other stereotype these writers use is that sexy dressing women are vamps and can't make good family. Can't agree with that either.

Exactly!jus bcoz a girl wear specs nd salwar she is nt pretty nd is behenji? Come on they need to grw up its d attitude that makes one behenji ...pragya is one of d strongest female character who stands up for herself nd her family<3nd if they wanted to show her ugly they should have casted smeone else nd nt srithi! Me coming frm an orthdx muslim family nd living in a coloney here all d girls wears either parda or salwar nd i do wear specs bt i refuse to acknowledge myself as behenji😡😆

I don't like the word behenji to be honest. lol
Society sucks. And Pragya is actually beautiful. I wear glasses, and living in Canada, I wish I got to wear salwaars more. lol
