Replacements of actors are more de rigeur on Ekta Kapoor's TV shows than anywhere else. It's barely been three weeks since the show began and the latest casualty is Daljeet Soundh, who plays Shabbir Ahluwalia's dadi in Kumkum Bhagya.Hemlata Deepak, who plays Shirina Singh's grandmom in Ek Mutthi Aasmaan, steps in.
"The production house wasn't pleased with her performance and her on-screen chemistry with Shabbir", shared a production source, adding, "Moreover, Hemlata was always their first choice. But she fractured her hand just a day before the shoot was to commence in April. They recently approached her again and she agreed."
While Hemlata has already begun shooting, Daljeet seems clueless about the development. The shocked actress insisted, "I'm still shooting for the show. Why would you ask me that?"
