I feel like Purab might run away from his marriage with BB (makes it dramatic also since he ran away before too)- may be Aalu will make him feel guilty over something.

BB will be shattered.. and Suresh nurses her heart. Like Willoughby-Marianne-Brandon thing.

As far as I recall there wasnt animosity as such betwee Marianne and colonel Brandon. Since they've so clearly shown us that bulbul has a temper, I don't think we'll see her wistfully heartbroken. Thus I don't see her ending up with suresh because of such a situation.

Besides, bulbul is a catch. If things don't work out with her fiance, she won't be shamed onto the shelf as a regency lady may have been. Thus if she ends up with suresh it won't be because she is somehow otherwise unmarriageable. I think it will be her choice to tie down suresh, though certainly not her preference.

Because like can you see bulbul accepting comfort from suresh?? She sees him as a creep and a dweeb, versus Marianne who simply thought colonel Brandon was too old for her.

True there was no animosity.. But the soap doesn't follow the novel except for the basic plots.

The soap needs some strong reason to keep the couple apart while they are married.. their best way to show romance/relationship building.

Until and unless suresh does something to impress sarla and Ro dadi bulbul might never get with him...because family is everything for bulbul and at the moment they all do not like him...

I am with Mina on this one. Purab running away wouldn't make BB turn to Suresh. And MMM is right too that her family needs to approve of him once again.

BTW - curious. When Suresh wasn't the punching bag for the Aroras, what was BB's perception of him? Did she still think of him as a creep and dweeb? Or did she have at least a smidgeon of liking / acceptance of him? I don't mean as a potential suitor for herself - did she see him as a nice human being at least?

Kat, I am not saying Purab running away will turn her immediately into Suresh. But she will be heartbroken and sad though right? Slowly Suresh might connect to her. She may not marry him immediately..

I know what you meant Tia. I still don't see BB even accepting a hand of friendship or comfort from Suresh. Given her past behaviour with him, she will be more likely to blame him for Purab running away!

Who knows though? The CVs may surprise me yet. It wouldn't really be out of character for Purab to run away - he does not face his difficulties head on. So, he well might do so. And BB might, oh i don't know, evolve into a more mature version.
