Acror Imran Khan aka Shaurya in Kulvaddhu is acting pricey. Says a source on the sets, "He acts self-important and is very self-centered. He throws his weight around and harps on his past success saying that he has been in the industry for a long time. Ironically, although he claims to have been in the industry for six years, the cast of Kulvaddhu did not recognise him until he introduced himself to them. He doesn't mingle with other actors like everyone else does."
Another source adds, "Imran is very adamant and not at all accommodating. Once, the cast of the serial had gone to Delhi for a press conference and was supposed to leave for Jodhpur immediately after. But Imran, whose family lives in Delhi said he wanted to go home and meet them. There was no time to accommodate this meeting, as the schedule was very tight. But he was adamant and did not listen to anyone. He gets upset at the slightest slip and complains to seniors directly."
An actor on the condition of anonymity says, "Imran is very irritating. He keeps talking about how he has been in the industry for a long time. What should I say then? I have been here for almost 13 years. He thinks too highly of himself."
When contacted, Imran seemed surprised at the allegations. "Am I really like that?" he said. "This is news to me. When we had gone to Delhi, there was a lot of time after the press meet. So I went to meet my family. Apart from that, the interaction between my seniors and me is limited to only text messages."
However Imran could well take this as a warning. As a unit member says, "There are two other male leads in the serial. An attitude problem could cost Imran a good role. He should realise this.
