She plays Kanya, the main protagonist in 'Kuchh Istara', who behaves like her dead sister Natasha on seeing fire. Dimple says she knew the graph of the character and was aware of the fact that the role was quite complex! She was told that she would be playing a split personality, but she had to work really hard on the character. She says, "I watched a few films like 'Deewangi' and a Tamil flick to prepare myself to play a split personality." Kanya is a normal and simple girl whereas Natasha is bold and has a lot of attitude. "It is not easy to be Kanya one moment and turn Natasha in a flash of a second," she adds.
