Dimple Jhangiani, who was once a social butterfly, has cut down on parties to concentrate on her acting career. Jhangiani claims that Kuchh Iss Tara, in which she plays the lead, isn't a typical 'K' soap. Down with rona-dhona The 21-year-old never watched any of the Balaji Telefilms' soaps before entering the industry "because they were so full of rona-dhona." She accepts that there are distinct similarities between Kuchh Iss Tara and Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka. "But Kuchh… is a better version of Kya Hoga…" she reiterates, adding that it gives her a chance to play a split personality. What about her on-screen pati, Akashdeep Saigal? Any teething problems romancing television's bad boy? Jhangiani insists that she has a blast with Saigal: "He treats me like a baby!" She did hear unflattering stories about the actor before coming on the show. "To be frank, I was ter- rified of Akashdeep," she admits but says that her fears were unfounded. The daily soap is now up for a new twist with Jhangiani's child- hood sweetheart making an entry.
