The devastation the recent floods caused , made us all feel so terrible , as man tried to save man , maybe a lesson learnt , to value each human being , a small poem on those floods
Floods
Water ,water so unforgiving ,
The rains poured ,
Even as people mourned ,
There was devastation everywhere
Streams became rivers ,
In a twinkle of an eye.
Homes which felt secure ,
Washed away in the sands of time,
Homeless , families missing ,
There is an immense sense of loss ,
Water filled the lush green fields ,
Which was once a heaven ,
Maybe it was nature's fury ,
For trying to change its course ,
Or maybe it's God's way of telling us ,
That it could be worse ,
If man would ravage nature ,
Then the fury would be for all to see
As nature is unforgiving ,
But alas does man learn from man ,
We still fight for realms unseen ,
For faiths which our ,our own private space ,
When will we learn to live , and let live ,
Or do the days have to become darker ,
Before the sun rises,
And man surprises ,
Us with humanity and compassion ,
Maybe then we will be alive again .
