The passing night ,

Heralds the onset of a day bright
The streaking sky all golden
Falling on the brook so beholden ,
The birds stirring announce daybreak ,,
As if laying out a carpet great ,
A new day ,a new day they seem to say
Strings of butterflies , rush to the blooming flowers
Happiness seems to be all around
My slumber breaks , and smiling I look around
It's a new day my heart seems to say ,
Maybe it will bring a new way ,
Away from the shadows
Brightness may hold the sway
As I rush through my morning chores,
Smiling at the flowers
Which in a perfusion grow
Beneath my window in a flow,
Chasing the pigeons dancing around
It's a new day , it's a new day seems to abound
Sorrows are for the morrow
Lets live it today
Who knows if tomorrow ever comes .
