Only if you promise you don't hit me...😆Let me do it on Saturday or Sunday...I don't run away after making the confession...will face you...😉
"No Kaka. I don't want to live a single second without her beside me. But I don't want to go after her now."
HK's urgency is palpable here, at any rate he wants to stop Nidhi and then Ashu's reply stuns him. But one can also sense a new determination in Ashu, as if he has already made a decision and it was a tough one. HK mentions about Nidhi's calls from Mumbai to inquire about Ashu... but this gives a definite idea that there was some separation time when they had started living apart...
Ashutosh Mathur is all set to prove to his wife that she and only she matters to him. Gosh! Could he be any more dramatic?"
Somehow Ashu has sensed what the real issue will be for Nidhi. And it was Nidhi' self worth, he had realized in these months and the last few weeks that she needed to be shown that she was the number one priority and even his cherished business is only second to that. And Armaan's statement clearly shows he now has a grudging respect for Ashu. And throughout this convo Nidhi is least interested in what Armaan thinks. Like this coldness, this aloofness from her. There is concern only for Ashu and what he may have faced during the MUs and to some extent about Prithvi...
"I bought one of his employees. Everyone has a price and I could pay his price for the information I wanted."
Finally all things fall into place, all questions are answered. Finally Nidhi is understanding all that went on behind her back... how her simplicity and naivet was used to great advantage by Armaan... At last she has realized the reason behind those sarcastic jibes from Armaan and is able to sympathize with what Ashu would have experienced all these years, how it may have developed into an inferiority complex in him. No wonder she is furious with him and severs her ties in the end by simply dismissing him without an acknowledgement even...
"Sometimes..sometimes Nidhi..the cost of those ambitions is too high."
Memories haunting her, taunting her in fact. Memories that hole a clue to Ashu's state of mind, his helplessness and desperation in her absence. And this final last line, I love it! Says so much... it has told Nidhi exactly how much Ashu has repented, how much he regretted the past and how much he values her now. This combined with his other words that he was coming to get her is a great thing to grab on to and hold tightly with both hands...
Ashutosh took hesitant steps inside. "Kaka..?"
Ashu's doubts, apprehensions, everything comes out in that one word... As if he was dreading stepping into his own house. But as soon as he enters the theater room, the scene in front of him completely shifts his mood. He instantly know she is back, she is not going away anymore! The scene is easy, playful too, but at the same time they get the all important discussion underway, and that includes discussing their future as well. And now Ashu has made sure that there will be no more compromising on Nidhi and her dreams, and he himself is going to help her fulfill them. Laying plans for their future. Its lovely Sujatha, I can imagine them doing all this, and some more... And ironically he uses the same words as Armaan... All businessmen I guess come from the same pot... Everything is a deal for them!
"Good to see that I can still act as an effective chaperone if need be."
HK is preiceless here. Love his character in this FF! Really, telling them so subtly that he knew all their tricks!
Overall, nice, simple FF where relationship and the complications within take center stage! A small doubt can snowball into something so big... Here Ashu had a nagging doubt that he was not giving much attention to Nidhi in the formative career years, and then it becomes guilt, compounded by all those missed occasions, all small incidents that pile up to weigh heavily on his mind and hence his adverse reaction of divorce. You have brought out his remorse and regret very nicely in the earlier chapters, along with Nidhi's efforts to regain her lost memories... My favorite line of all is this...
"Sometimes..sometimes Nidhi..the cost of those ambitions is too high."
yes for which i have no answer. that OS is still pending. my in-laws will be here on 9th Feb. so will post that OS definitely before 9th. can't say when though. Please pass on this message to RR also Suku...

Chapter 10 Review

yes. there was indeed a separation of a few weeks.
Ashutosh Mathur is all set to prove to his wife that she and only she matters to him. Gosh! Could he be any more dramatic?"

sympathize with Ashu...may be not. but yes, she now understands where his anger had stemmed from. understands that deliberately or not...Armaan has fueled the fire that almost burnt her marriage.
"Sometimes..sometimes Nidhi..the cost of those ambitions is too high."
Memories haunting her, taunting her in fact. Memories that hole a clue to Ashu's state of mind, his helplessness and desperation in her absence. And this final last line, I love it! true. it wouldn't have been enough in any other scenario but these two know each other inside out since their childhood. They were best friends before becoming a couple. So this one scene was all that was needed for her to get her confidence back.
Ashutosh took hesitant steps inside. "Kaka..?"
Ashu's doubts, apprehensions, everything comes out in that one word...
Thank you for saying that. That was exactly what I wanted to convey with that one word..the fear and the hesitancy. and behind all that a glimmer of hope.

😆 yup

😆 glad you liked that one. I wanted an ice breaker..something that would put them both at ease. Passion wouldn't have made sense here. I wanted the contentment to come out.

You know..if i had written this FF in detail..like after the chapter one..go back to their childhood.scene by scene..then their college days, marriage..etc etc..i think readers would have enjoyed it more. But..chalo koi nahi...some other time. a big big thank you for being with me all through and helping me out with a lot of scenes.
