Hello... Hi...How are you...

So I am back with my 'That' series...😉😆 This time its cold in Delhi not in forum 😆

So year 2014 is here...😃 Wishing you all a very happy and prosperous new year...🥳

We all know that people celebrate 31st eve in grand way...Parties, cakes, champagne, music, fireworks, dance etc

but my question is how do you spend your 1st Jan...😳

My Mom never allows me to spend a penny on 1st Jan coz she says if you buy something today then for the whole year you'll be shopping only (Yeh alag baat hai what I do in entire year is shopping only 😆), dont fight or argue, do pooja on time, take a bath etc etc 😆 But According to me on 1st people should do whatever they want that they will life king size for the entire year...😉😆 Kyu sahi bola naa 😃😆

So now tell me how do you spend your 1st Jan...😳

Office, lot of work. But we have Director's Address and a hi tea at office. Everyone is with new outfits and enjoy the beginning of the new year.

well...how do i spend..there are four stages in that.

1. when i was a kid...followed my mom's words (similar to those of your mom) and tried not be a cranky kid at least on that day and made sure i opened my books on that day (Padai kiya ya nahi..woh alag baat hain)😆

2. College days mein it was a total freak out fun filled day with friends. buying cards, wishing Profs etc (Not much of internet about 12 years back) - Archies galleries became our adda 😆

3. After marriage - before kids...tried to make it as romantic as i knew how..contrary to what i write, in reality, i am more practical than romantic. If hubby got flowers, i would think of where and how to put them and what to do with the trash once they are dried rather than the romantic angle of beautiful red roses etc. But for that day..i tried to soften the attitude.😛

4. After marriage - after kids...happy day coz i don't have to wake up at 5.30 to prepare lunch boxes. but a bit like my mom...take my kids to th temple and make sure they study for a while. and make sure they laugh and have fun too. 😃

According to my country's customs i prepared Milk Rice , this time made it using Rice cooker , but thank God feels it superb

then praying time

no Holidays as i told my staff we should work today believe me after 5 years i did this , we did lot of planning for the year , and then work off at 12.00noon

prepared a special Buriyani by my self .

after that came to my sweet home IF

The first thing i did was I visited dentist . Now according to ur theory I will visit dentist everyday! Please no. Dentist Dr. Ashutosh hote toh I wouldnt have mind repeating RC 365 days😳

Like you said.. when i was young.. we all bro n sis were asked to do good n proper things.. with full list of your Mom's advice 😳😃

Now.. i tell you abt today..

I got up early at 7 A.M.. played with my nephew n son... 🤗 Let them have good bath n sponge ! Had bath.. Did a small Matha tekna at our mandir at home.. ! ⭐️ Had my breakfast with whole family.. Exchanged New year wishes, with blessings taken n given.. ! I came to office.. Had a blast with our workers.. we distributed small packs of sweets n coffee / tea served ! Then did some work. Joined IF.. 😃 posted here ... n after lunch .. i am back now to normalcy.. i mean to the forum.. 😛😆

Now we will go home.. n will sit with family.. will have dinner n off to work at lappy n sleep,..

mera ho gaya.. 😃
