Have been busy following the news of the American misbehavior with our diplomat , still a sense of fury at the way it was conducted , how can you strip search and do a cavity search for a crime of paying less wages , are we ghulams to the white skinned that they feel they can get away with anything and we will not object , if they felt that she had committed a crime ,they should have discussed it with the MEA , and even if they felt that india was not listening then it could have been a formal protest , and a dignified way of doing it , not only is she a diplomat but also represents the country , do they think Indians can be treated anyway and get away with it , and the government is absolutely correct in withdrawing privileges granted to the US consulate here , they enjoy too many because of our huge complex about gora chamara , don't about u all but feel strongly about it , this search is almost as bad as a rape , a violation of your body in the name of law , and a kick on the back to those Indians like Preet Bahara who want to prove that they are more American then the racist American themselves , all for a job in US , they should be banned from india forever
Sorry folks but feel rather strongly about it

India Thursday said it will not take a call immediately on restoring the special privileges of US diplomats that were taken away as a retaliatory measure after the handcuffing and strip-search of an Indian diplomat in New York.

US Secretary of State John Kerry called National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon to express regret over the arrest and strip-search of 39-year-old Diplomat.. ( i am taking her name out if it ), India's deputy consul general in New York.

Hours after the call, External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid said the decision to revoke the paring down of privileges of US diplomats would not be taken in a hurry.

"Such decisions are not taken in a hurry. We will study the matter and then take a call," the minister said on the sidelines of an event here.

India has asked US diplomats to give back the diplomatic ID cards given to them by the Indian government, return airport passes and also removed extra police barricades around the US embassy here.

In a damage control exercise, Kerry called up the NSA and expressed concern that this "unfortunate public issue" of the arrest and strip-search of the diplomat should not be allowed to hurt "close and vital" India-US ties.

I myself is feeling very sad over the incident.. Doc Babs.,, thanks for this raising issue post !
