I get stylish classy roles ---Rukhsar

Rukhsar Rehman better known as Dr. Mallika of Sony Entertainment Television's Kuch Toh Log Kahenge is quite kicked about her new show Tumhari Paakhi on Life OK.

Talking about her role in the Shashi-Sumeet Productions show, the actress says, "I play a very rich, sophisticated page 3 lady called Lavanya. She is the sister and the only relative/confidant of her billionaire brother Anshuman Rathore played by Iqbal Khan. Their success has come up the hard way. Coming from the above background, Lavanya is very touchy about her and her brother's image and will do anything to people who affect them."

Rukhsar who started her career with films (Sarkar , 'D' and The Stoneman Murders) has no problems in accepting that she seems to get greyish classy woman roles. "But within this limitation, both my above characters are as different as chalk and cheese. While Mallika in Kuch Toh Log Kahenge was a well-groomed (in love) doctor who would never raise her voice, stylish hyper Lavanya on the other hand would not think twice before abusing her help even in public."

When asked about her personal opinion about such ladies, Rukhsar says, "I have come across several such women but never have had an issue with anyone. Agreed they are well turned out. If you call that self obsession or faade, it may be due to the fact that they are loaded, have all the resources, but yet I don't judge them."
