Hello Friends
No, this is not simply a quote from 'Lost in Translation' but more the situation I am in now. I know I just jumped in here today and surprised even myself in the process. Its great to see you all here and have a chance to chat with some of you.
Some of you already know that I am still in Chennai. My original return was on Aug 23rd but I have been delayed here and am scheduled to return only on Sep 11th.
This change was brought about by the sudden, always dreaded but rather unexpected demise of my Father-in-Law just a couple of weeks back. We just wrapped up all the ceremonies this week. Unfortunately he was suffering from the last stage of throat cancer that relapsed earlier this year. This was the reason for our rather sudden trip to Chennai to be with him for sometime.
We also hoped to celebrate his 80th birthday at the end of July which we actually did. It made him very happy to have his entire family with him one last time and it was as if his last wish was fulfilled. He passed away two weeks after that. All of us are simply glad to have got some time with him in the end.
Sorry friends for the rather long message here... but I have been a little busy in the last month due to the above two events and have been largely missing from this forum. And the fact that you all remembered me has touched me. Thank you.
