SHALL WE DANCE - PART A?
Romance is in the air when Ashni are around. Their sheer presence exuded romance, every look exchanged, every word spoken, every little gesture seemed to underline the love they shared. As they grew as a couple one could feel the growth in the depth of their relationship just by the way they cared for the other person before themselves. So lets take a walk down memory lane and look at another gesture that defined ASHNI Romance...DANCE.
Dance:
Dance is an art form where emotions are expressed through rhythmic body movements usually set to music. It involves hand-feet coordination with facial expressions to match the music and story. The speed or pace with which we dance is usually determined by the tempo or beats of the song to which the dance is choreographed. Often a dance has a theme or story to narrate that the dancer achieves through facial and hand gestures. There are hundreds of dance styles in this world, some very popular and some rarely heard of. Each and every society has its own history of dance. Based on their culture, dance can be part of the tradition during ceremonies, for entertainment during celebrations, for other social interactions, as a performance for an audience or to stimulate ones's own artistic and aesthetic sensibilities.
And in KTLK based on the situation, we have seen the use of a number of styles of dance as in the theme at Ashni's wedding was Indian folk, Bollywood style in Ranji's and Ashni's couple dances were based on ballroom style. So lets take a quick glance at the Ashni's dance journey and see how it became an important romantic gesture for them.
1. Nidhi is the girl with the original twinkling toes, always ready to shake a leg (always with Anji), be it at the disco or at a wedding. Even after she fell in love her penchant for dance did not subside, in fact now she wanted to enjoy with Ashu...
4. Before dance became a romantic gesture and this couple started rocking on the dance floor their dancing life went through a rocky start. After a visit to the disco which Ashu hated, he doubted their compatibility, dance became a bone of contention...
5. Dance was a part of all the wedding rituals and functions, sometimes Ashni participated in it and sometimes they watched from the sidelines. But it was because of this tradition that Ashu decided to dance for the first time just to please Nidhi on her special day...
TO BE CONTINUED...
Friends, once more I under-estimated the number of times dance was used in this show to project Ashni's love and growth in their relationship. Hence this post turned out longer than I had initially anticipated. So, of course there is a Part B now. 😳 In the next part we can see how dance became a bridge between Ashni's thoughts and actions and how their private dance sessions ended up enhancing Ashni's romance, it became a true romantic gesture.
