The reason behind Nidhi's opinion to adopt Kushi is to make realise Ashutosh responsibilities of a married man. Soon after marriage he left her alone almost all nights to take care of Mallika. now she will try to make him realise the depth of wounds created by him by his negligence. I feel its quite good decision. She may be foreseeing mallika may re enter in their life with her child which is highly possible. To divert Ashutosh's attention from mallika's child nidhi took such a decision. Even if ashutosh goes to visit his old friend&her baby nidhi will be able to cut the thread attraction affection from that with the help of kushi. I don't think mallika's sister in law suhasini will allow her to get rid of the relationship of Ashutosh with her. Suhasini will surely advice mallika to utilise the child to snatch ashutosh from nidhi.

Ashutosh is super happy with Khushi. So, she is doing this for Ashutosh.

I dont think it is guilt; but, according to me Nidhi is doing all this for Ashu's happiness.

She is the one who has closely observed Ashu's sympathy & emotions towards orphan and unprivileged children: from Shahenshah in the earliest episodes, to mallika's unborn child and now this Khushi. She saw a completely emotionally shattered Ashu after khushi had to be sent to 'sudhar-grih' and she couldnt see him in that pain so with CM's help she brought her back saying:'Mere pati ko unki khushi wapas de dijiye'.

It shouldn't be guilt coz she had outrightly accused him of not being able to wait for their own child for 2 yr.s when Ashu was putting fwd. his reasons to sympathize with pregnant Mallika. She wouldnt have said it if she was guilty for her decision of postponement of pregnancy - my pov only.
