Since films seem to be what inspire the writers of all TV shows, am wondering which film will be the next muse for KTLK.
After seeing yesterday's episode, I think Ashutosh is not going to handle Khushi's leaving well, assuming she leaves...he loves her like he loves his own child...so, if she leaves, it will be like losing a child for him...and that is the worst possible thing that can happen to any parent...
Why are they building up his angst so much? There has to be a reason. Given that the baby track is ruled out, that cannot be the reason. So what is the reason then?
There are very few ways to go forward from here. One is to show conflict arising out of professional preoccupations. Ashutosh appears to be losing interest in his work while Nidhi's interest is growing by the day. This is bound to bring about distance between them. If handled well, this could be a good track but I doubt if they are going this way. If a writer think infertility will impact the image of his character negatively, I doubt he will have the guts to show her as someone neglecting her husband on account of work. But he may still surprise us.
However, keeping in mind the filmi inspirations, I am wondering if they can go for a combination of Devdas and Hum Aapke Dil Mei Rehte Hain. I mean Ashutosh could suffer a breakdown post Khushi leaving. He could turn to alcohol or it could just be a nervous breakdown. Nidhi could be Chandramukhi and shower him with love to make up for the loss of Khushi aka Paro. So what if this is not romantic love? Love is love and heartbreak is heartbreak.
Now, they can bring in the Hum Aapke track. Nidhi can do a Kajol and climb temple steps on her knees. She can perform pooias to save her husband's life. And being a doctor, she can also treat her husband medically. Having cured Alzheimer's, depression/mental breakdown/alcoholism etc will be child's play for her...this way, we can have a professional cum personal track..both career women and aunties will be happy...
Of course, Nidhi will become incredibly famous by the end of all this. She might even perform surgery on Ashu's brain to make him normal like other men. And once he is normal, he can go back to work. But he won't have any patients since now Nidhi has singlehandedly performed brain surgery as well. Then, they can move on to the Abhimaan track successfully.
KPji said an interesting track was coming up. Was he hinting at this? Maybe I should PM this to him just in case!
