He found her again pretty sad and more into herself; he found as if she is again drawn into her own shell, he watched her retreat, swallowing her grief. He watched as tears trickled at corner of her eyes. A thousand time he opened his mouth to speak but stopped himself 'then the silence came 'the awful silence, which seems to be taking over, in that silence he heard him speak " Nidhi, he 'I mean the one you loved broke your heart didn't he ? '.You were crying for him the night when I met you. Isn't it?"
It was mere question but he feared the worst while he waited for her reply …he sensed there is something in her past which is not letting her to move on …how hard she try, still she is struggling with those demons which are unknown to him, behind those facades of smile and laughter there is a girl whose heart is broken but who is stubborn enough to not to show it to outside world …It saddened him to see her in pain, same time it pricked him to see her crying for someone else, that someone else is there in her head , in her heart ..Not him! ….he felt pulled out of his dream world, the same hurt is back.The mere thought of losing her scared him…he waited for her to reply …he looked up towards her, expecting her to shatter his dreams once for all and throw him back to harsh reality !
Nidhi averted her eyes as she sensed his gaze fixed on her , she looked out as she saw a lone butterfly floating up, drifting in breeze. Its wings sparkling red and blue in sunshine. She watched it, mesmerizing it. She admired him for the person he is … he is the most beautiful person she ever met! It's not only about his face but the life force she can see in him ….the way he drive her back to life .it's the smile and pure promise of everything he has to offer. She knows that she is falling in love with him ….! How hard she tried not to but she failed, her heart gave in. She fell in love with him in a way she never did. What she feels for him is something deep and enchanting ….which she can't deny…she know when time come she can't deny the fact that she love him!
It's been a month since they started seeing each other. Ashu finished his class in a hurry and turned his car towards nidhi's home hoping to meet her so that he can take her out to celebrate. He knows that still many things not clear between them, there are things which they need to address today or tomorrow. He want to know whether she is ready to take this relationship to next level but before that he want to know what she think about him and whether she is ready….Many times he tried to broach the topic but he never did in fear that she might back off. In fear of losing her forever …. !
Ashu: Nidhi, where are you?
Nidhi: Am at home ….how come you called at this time?
Ashu: well, I am outside your home..Came to meet you, are you busy?
Nidhi: you are outside!! He couldn't fail to notice the excitement in her voice. He smiled "yes Nidhi, well….I.mean..I just ..i was …"
Nidhi: ohh come to the point, why are you blabbering …?
Ashu chuckled hearing her annoyed tone " I was wondering if you are free , I wanted to take you out …I mean, I thought of preparing dinner at my place for both of us …well if you are fine with it "
Nidhi: what special you are preparing for me …?
Ashu: well my fav dish , hare chane ki curry with methi mutia …
Nidhi: what is that ..I mean is that edible ..
Ashu: thats so mean nidhi ….!
Nidhi chuckled hearing his annoyed tone …"ooch someone got offended! "
Ashu did not reply, she laughed even hard imagining him sulking.
"I am sorry Ashuthosh, I was just joking ..ok now wait ..I am coming in 5 minutes ..will you ? or Mr mathur changed his mind now"
Ashu: I did not changed my mind …well I am waiting..will you please hurry now
After 5 minutes ashu found her coming towards his car " Well did you told your baba that you going out for dinner "
Nidhi; yes I did …you see I never lie to my baba
Ashu: oh did you told that you are going out with me?..I mean to have dinner ?
Nidhi; No ….
Ashu : but then how can you say that you don't lie …?
Nidhi: I said I don't lie..I never said I don't hide the complete truth..There is difference you see. Baba asked whether I am going out ..so I said yes I am ….end of the subject and moreover he don't mind if he come to know that I went out with you …in fact he will be more happy !
Ashu: ok , now what next ??...
Nidhi: you made this plan …you should be knowing.
Ashu: ok how about we go to my place ….
Nidhi: how boring..I mean cant we go somewhere else now for some time.
Ashu; well I asked you …you said plan is mine
Nidhi cut him in between "how about long drive?"
Ashu: Well good idea after considering diesel price
Nidhi: fine..if you so want to save your diesel ..Then be it, no need to go for long drive
Now it was Ashu's turn to chuckle "did I say No ...Nidhi?"
Nidhi: so are we going?
Ashu: did I say yes?
Nidhi: Godd, fine …don't take me for long drive then. Do whatever you want.
Ashu laughed even hard …" Nidhi, I was just wondering "
Nidhi; now what?
Ashu: Does blind man can see their dreams and do they dream?
Nidhi: what? How do I know …what are you doing?? I know you so like to irritate me rite …..
Ashu laughed hard "I am sorry …ok don't be angry, common lets go for long drive …!" after some more nudging Nidhi managed to smile and returned to her usual self …as he drove, Nidhi told him all about her day..ashu listened thinking that life can never be bore when Nidhi is around.
When they reached ashu's place it was late evening, so Nidhi directly went to kitchen to start preparing for dinner.to find whole kitchen is in total mess . She looked at utensils piling in basin… and the whole place looked like one big wreck." Ashuthosh what is this .. …look at this place looks like tornado hit here "
Ashu looked down like a small boy who got back home all dirty and clumsy…"ok , now …I want you to go out and wait till I call you …I want to clean it before start preparing your dish….waise where you keep vegetables and give me the recipe to prepare it "
Ashu looked lost " What recipe …I mean I don't know …I never prepared , always Hiraman kaka prepared it for me "
Nidhi: I can't believe this ..you don't know …I mean you don't have recipe and you planned to prepare dinner for me …Ashuthosh !
Ashu looked down again " ok , you wait here Nidhi .. I will ask hirman kaka for recipe. ..2 min " even before nidhi could respond he is gone running outside .
Nidhi banged her head and then smiled when she imagined how guilty he looked …and how adorable he looked.
She can hear his conversation over phone..as she strode looking at pictures which are perfectly arranged …she saw one elderly man with a small boy holding violin and the there were various picture of ashu with that man ….and some group photos with his friends taken during college days ….she did not failed to see particular picture where ashu is standing in group with a girl..Where the girl seem to be clinging to him and ashu smiling ear to ear ..and she felt he is very happy. As she continued to stare at that picture felt sudden irritation rising …she know that she is being silly but could not help feeling jealous to see ashu with someone else… She turned to find ashu staring at her.
Nidhi tried to smile but she failed "I was just ...hmm..Just looking around …" ashu moved next to her " Nidhi , that's my baba …." He pointed to the elderly man …" and this is arman , you know him " Nidhi smiled ….she waited for him to tell who that girl is ..but he dint , he just ignored that picture …she could not control anymore , even before she could stop ..she blurted " who is this ashuthosh ?" pointing at that girls pic …
Ashu; hmm..its ..its mallika . … my friend ..I mean used to be "
Nidhi: is she the one ?
Ashu nodded his head " well yes she is the one …"
Nidhi: want to talk about it ….
Ashu looked at her raising one eye brow…" why you want to know about her …..?"

They both started preparing dinner together …as ashu cut the vegetables, Nidhi made sure everything is ready..she looked at ashu" you know …today one young women came to our NGO, her husband died a year back in motor cycle accident …after her husbands death , she started working at his office which she got by some influence ..she met someone their ..One day He asked her for marriage, when her in laws came to know they accused her for flirting around within year of her husband's death and they throwed her out … What you think she should do now Ashuthosh ?, I mean …hmm is it wrong to fall in love again ..is it wrong to rebuild the life again ? Ashu looked at her eyes …did he saw grief , he wondered what is she is trying to say , its just second next moment she is back to her usual self ..the smile is back on her lips " ohh Ashuthosh…tell me fast where you kept corn flour "

Nidhi: I got it ..let me search myself …she climbed on stool searching all cabinet ..she found a small jar filled with flour . when she tried to pull it ,she ended up spilling all over her …
Ashu ran towards to stop her from falling .by the time he went the damage is done …she stood covered in flour from head to toe…
He tried hard not to laugh but could not as he saw her stunned expression …." Ohh jeez …ashuthosh you are laughing…now what I will do "
Ashu: nidhi relax …you can take a shower and by the time I will prepare dinner for both of us ..come " and he dragged her to bath room
Nidhi: and what I am going to wear Ashuthosh…?
Ashu: "well you can remove that kurtha and wear one of my sweat shirt….here take this "
Nidhi turned to him.." stop smiling , will you ?…else I will make sure you regret "
Ashu bit his tongue and muttered" sorry "to find nidhi laughing …." You are so easy to tease …"
Ashu: do you know that your one little devil
Nidhi: I know when I was born..devil cried in despair .."oh shit competition "
Ashu chuckled hearing her comment …" ok now ashuthosh, don't you dare go in kitchen until I come out ..i don't want to mess up anything "

Ashu just started at her face when she came out ..wearing his sweatshirt, her wet dark hair flowing down her back, with those dark brown eyes she looked at him…sudden sharp sense of desire rose in him. Which seems to be engulfing him; even before he could stop …he was moving fast towards her. He struggled to go away, somewhere away from her.. but his feet seems to be rooted to the spot… then he looked in those dark brown eyes, she looked up and I realized how close they are standing, both of them leaning in together. She blinked a few times, suddenly light-headed, but not like before when she felt dazed. Being so close to the smooth dark skin of his face, getting lost in the shifting shades of his dark eyes, it felt like her insides were fluttering and melting.
He moved ahead one more inch until he can feel her warm breath on his cheeks, slowly he cupped her face and waited for her to push him away but she dint. Instead she closed her eyes and tilted her head allowing him to kiss her. He slowly brushed his nose to hers and kissed. It was not mere a brushing of lips, it is a kiss which scalded her inside. As her knees failed to hold on anymore she sank in his arms. He let go of her lips for a second and looked at her closed eyes as he whispered her name several times as if that's all he know….She slowly opened her eyes to find him looking at her with so much love. Her inside melted as he cupped her face and whispered "I love you Nidhi….I don't know from where and how, but I love you And I will continue to no matter what". All those emotions which he suppressed so far came out …
she looked up to find blaze of faith in eyes , reflection of what he just uttered …there was so much love in those eyes that she melted in his arms …he waited for her to push him away and waited for her to get away from his arms ..He feared that he might lose her if he expressed his love. But she didn't! Instead she moved forward and pulled him to her … Did he saw Love for him in those eyes. Yes he saw blazing with intensity which shook him. Slowly his lips moved against hers, exploring her mouth gently. She parted her lips for him to access….slowly she tried to mimic his movements until they both don't have to think about anything at all. She cupped his face and caressed his ear lobes , brushing her soft lips over his neck which made him moan and soon he pulled her back and took her lips until she don't know where her mouth ended and where his started … then he traced near her throat, through her jaw line , whispering her name again and again ..It was the most amazing feeling they both ever felt. The feeling of love and beloved! It kept growing. Vibrating through their body as soft tears trickled from her eyes. ..she suddenly jerked apart …and then slowly came back to him..in his arms …he felt A part of her desperate for him, desire him just like him …a part of her love him with whatever she possess but same time a part of her want to let go him.., move away from him ..run away from him ….go out his warm arms …Ashu let go of her for a second and softly kissed her teary eyes…with a jerk she pushed him away and even before ashu could react she pulled him back to her giving her lips back to him …and he kissed her with tenderness as if to swallow the grief which she is holding.. Taking all her pain within him.she moaned as soft and then heavy sobs escaped through her throat until her whole body racked with cry. He swift her up in his arms .cuddling, comforting her …taking her in his arms …he let her cry…let those tears trickle down her cheeks! The she pushed him away …struggling to get away from his arms …and moved away.
the silence was unbearable. It was awful , he feared the worst while he waited for her to speak …he looked at her frail body….suddenly he sensed how delicate she is …how tired she look !in that silence he heard him speak…first like a whisper and then more like mumble "Nidhi…what …hmm what is it ? tell ..what can I do to lessen your pain ?"
he looked up at her to find she is struggling to not to break apart …and standing their she uttered more like a cry and something like mumble as if she is forcing her to speak" Ashuthosh..I want you to stop loving me … ..hmm….stop loving me Ashuthosh ".
He imagined this scene so many times in his head …he sensed this coming one day but when he really he heard this …the impact was much more than he could take …he heard his heart shattered slowly , bit by bit …he saw his world collapse and then he heard him speak " he died dint he …the guy you loved ?'
He looked up towards nidhi's stunned face " I know ..he died , that why you cant get over him..I know " !
In my prev FF ,ashu broke nidhi's heart so this time i let nidhi do the honor 😆
