After practically a whole week of reading complaints on the forum right from the color of ashu's shirt to nidhi being promoted to sr doc ,Iam left with only one question .. what is wrong with me? Why am I not complaining? May be coz I probably dont belong to the "niche" audience for whom the show is actually intended ! phew .. my luck !
Lets begin with nidhi's birthday celebrations ..some of us are still unconvinced that ashu actually said sorry .. I say the scene was designed to create the feel that ashu nidhi had forgotten that the entire family was there and were lost in each other ...and that it was a beautiful scene ...and the dimming of the lights gave a dreamy feeling which was a masterstroke .. but then what do I know?
BB's reaction after ashu nidhi went home .. that he chided only nidhi and not ashu for the mess .Why should he ? Ashu already had his share the very next day .Besides ,BB dint scold nidhi for fighting..he asked her not to leave home again and that too in a very subtle manner .Dont think there is anything wrong in that .But again ..who cares about what I think.
Ashu Nidhi's reaction after going home .Some of us are upset coz ashu dint jump on nidhi or viceversa (no I dont think women are supposed to be as****l) ...they were tired after playing hide and seek whole day and while ashu just wanted to sleep ,nidhi wanted to chat and spend sometime talking general stuff with her husband ,she was simply too happy and too excited after day's events .so what is wrong with that? Just becoz ashu dint do what some of us wanted him to do made him a 70 yr old who doesnt know his young wife's needs? wow..
Then what do we consider salman rushdie ? a 30 yr old ? guess so .. recently I read somewhere that he was chasing and dating Padma lakshmi while being married to Elizabeth West . Hmm .Not everyone in the world has the same needs.Ashu was simply content with the fact that his wife was home ..with him and that he wouldn't have to sleep with her pillow as company .But again ,how can I understand all these stuff ?
Medical scenarios .. I unfortunately remember some of us cribbing everytime we saw nidhi doing housework when she dint rejoin KGH and said how much we wanted nidhi to be a doc .Now when we are seeing that ,we want to see medical accuracy the likes of which some of us see in a show called Grey's anatomy (I believe I got it right,dont even know it airs on which channel !) .The makers have time and again insisted that this is not a medical story ,but a love story based on a medical background. But still we insist on medical accuracy ,coz it insults our intelligence ,apparently .But then can I ask what do we expect from a daily soap ,to give us knowledge plus entertainment? Well ,in that case ,only one show for that from my understanding is KBC.But we want to watch wat we want and still expect more and more ..while there is nothing wrong in asking for more and more ,lets try to understand the limitations and boundaries of the makers as well?
Before joining the forum ,I had no idea the conditions these actors work in,but now that I do know ,my respect for them has increased exponentially. (KK recently took a 10 days leave, which in last one yr was apparently the longest break,she continued shooting despite fever and what not ,and SK ,despite having a surgery and movie at hand ,continued to be with us 4 days a week ,the chap even went for shooting on the ganesh chaturthi) .Some of us may say that its their job and they are paid for it .But then can I ask how many of us have actually worked like that? Without taking sick leaves and weekoffs? May be some have ,but I cant . I crib if my boss asks me to come to office on my weekoff for a meeting ,even when I know all I have to do is sit like a doll and dream hiding behind my glasses ! But ,its me .
I know everyone has right to express themselves here and Iam no one to stop them from using the fundamental rights given by GOI ..just that I cant stop thinking about the great dialogue from Spiderman , "With great power comes great responsibility."
The forum has the power to influence the show (we have seen that lot of times !), lets use it wisely ...constant criticism would depress anyone ..
Also lets try to remember that the makers are trying real hard to keep the show sailing and not sink.They are trying to strike a balance between the sensibilities of the "niche " audience and the "TRP" audience.Lets give it to them !
