Dadi bua is from old school of thought and once she accepted Ashu as her son in law it was quiet natural that she will try everything possible to make their relationship work.Even during Mallu track,she was the one who first doubted Mallu's intentions and even Ashu accepted it later.I would really like to see a mother -son bonding between DB and Ashu.
