Okay, 'I am back with yet another What if...this time there are two scenarios that I would like you to respond to...

Scenario 1

Mallika is not back. The baby debate has happened and the two year decision has been taken. There is another pregnant woman, maybe a destitute, who has come into KGH. Ashutosh gets very involved in the care of her pregnancy and once the child is born, he starts caring for the child too. Maybe he even wants to adopt the child, assuming the mother wants to give it up. Would Nidhi be happy that Ashutosh is still getting to experience fatherhood even if secondhand...and she gets to do what she wants to do...

Scenario 2

Mallika is back and pregnant. There has been no baby debate at all. How will she react to AShutosh caring for Mallika and her unborn child under the circumstances?

Sujatha, now you are trying to bell the cat and you have come with very apt prespective.
I just greened the lines in Q1 which I think will never effect Nidhi. Only when Ashu wants to adopt, she may think about it a bit but still can give away based on the characterization of Nidhi so far. she has such a big heart to tell Ashu to alert Mallika about Jagan. She may accept for adoption not to satisfy the fatherly instincts but to help a child get better life in the world and society.
Scenario 2:
I strongly believe that its not Mallika's pregnancy but the presence of Mallika in and around Ashu which creates big problems to Nidhi. Nidhi has suffered the most because of Mallika and she has seen Ashu's dumb weakness towards her till now.
Because CVs wanted to create a rift between AshNi using their trusted formula of mallika, they tried to create this drama of Pregnancy as an alibi for Ashu's softspot. Its nothing more than that.

You could well be right...but thanks to virtual platforms, there is scope to understand what exactly a writer is trying to convey...from the horse's mouth so to speak...besides Nidhi has already mouthed the lines to this effect...that she feels AShutosh is doing what he is doing because of her decision to postpone motherhood...so they have already made Mallika's pregnancy, and not Mallika, the bone of contention,...there is no turning back now!

Sujatha, I gathered from the forum that the writer is driving this thought. This is what he always tired to do with this show. Take up a strange stand suddenly, change the characteristics and behavior patterns of the characters and throw a googly on us normal people who follow the story line and interpret the characters as per the behaviors exhibited by them.
As per Nidhi's characterization and behaviour she should not have insecurity about this and also from Ashu's POV, though he is old enough, the marriage is just months old and he needs to give space and time to Nidhi. If he had that kind of strong parental desires, those were supposed to be exhibited from day 1 of their marriage. For some months/days Nidhi was trying to become a wify and was roaming freely before this career bug has bitten her and she put pregnancy aside.
What I feel sad is in all this the beauty of the characters is getting lost for the whims and fancies of the writer.

sujataji,on sce 1 if ashu want to help we can call it cherity, and if he adopt that child it can call humanity, bec they are needy, and nidhi can understand that betterly, but 2nd sce mallika wants help only befor preg not then.but she is high qua after birth of babay she don't need any help, phy and mentally and her deeds did not allow nidhi to be sympathiside towards mallika

He does like to surprise. And yes, the present conflict is extremely contrived and not in tune with their characters...but then, this is what he has chosen to do...and we can't do much more than protest when we feel he is going against their grain...but then, they are his to do with as he pleases...so, what choice do we really have?!
