Final Chapter (Part 2):

DB ' arre manhoos!! Kahaan hain tu? Tujhe toh fruits lena keliye bheja tha na. toh laya ki yahi baitke chai nashtha kar raha hain?

CS ' DB, I got the fruits, flowers and some trees also. And I think ab toh na aap ko apne awaaz par control rakhna chahiye. Itne chote chote bachchon ke saamne aap aise chillayengi toh woh bechare toh darr ke maare rona shuru kardenge. Kyon colonel saab? What do you say?

CV covers his laughter behind a magazine and goes away from there. Today, after 3 days of stay in the hospital, Nidhi is finally coming back home with those 2 little darlings. He and DB had come to MM early in the morning to make sure everything is ready for their arrival. Armaan, Rohan and Anji and Ranganath come from upstairs with tired but extremely satisfied expressions. Armaan had arranged a surprise for Ashutosh, Nidhi and the kids. he got the kids room completely done in these 3 days all the while grumbling that if DB had allowed it, they wouldn't have had to run around now. now the room had a roof painted with a blue shade and two baby beds, their clothes cupboards, a nappy changing table, a rocking chair with a table to prop the feet. One bed had cars on it and one had a fairy tale princess complete with a magic wand in her hands. The walls sported a very welcoming yellow colour and Armaan made sure the paint was washable and stain guard as he wanted the kids to be able to have real fun with crayons and water colours. Just then Aanchal walked in with a packet and Rohan and Aanchal spoke in low tones as she started showing what was in the cover and explaining it to Rohan. Finally both gave each other a hug and ran up again. Armaan ' "arre yaar Rohan, where are you going again?" Rohan calls back from upstairs saying "we'll just be back Armaanji. Going to give some finishing touches to the room." Just then Ashu walks in. "what finishing touches armaan?" suddenly everyone is quiet. Keeping it a secret from Ashutosh was not difficult as he spent almost all his time in the hospital with Nidhi. he just came home, showered, changed, took DB's packed lunch and left again. He is hell bent on doing everything himself as long as Nidhi is still in the hospital. BB tried to stop him and tell him to allow someone else to take over for some time but he refused. "Baba, once the kids are home, I would be thankful if I get a chance to hold them once a day. You are seeing everyone na. Armaan is planning what bike to buy for Aniket. Can you believe it baba. Rohan says Ashni is going to do an MBA like him. Those kids are 2 DAYS old and yeh haal hain. baba, please let me do this. And Nidhi took care of them both all these months. Now its my turn." And so that matter was settled. Ashu ' "Armaan, I am talking to you. what finishing touches?" Armaan ' "arre yaar finishing touches to the car seats that I bought. You saw them? come I will show." And he diverted Ashu and took him into the study where 4 car seats awaited them on one side complete with bow ties.

Ashu ' Armaan yeh kya laya yaar? 4 car seats? Why the hell do we need 4 car seats for? Mujhe twins hue hain quadruplets nahin.

Armaan ' woh toh main bhi jaanta hoon meri jaan. But all 4 are not for your car. Only 2 are yours. the other 2 are for my car.

Ashu ' for your car? Why? Tere bhi bachche hogaye hain kya?

Armaan ' shut up yaar Ashu. Your sense of humour sucks I tell you. if I want to take my niece and nephew out, then I would also need the car seats na.

Ashu ' and where will you take them? may I know?

Armaan ' where matlab kya? I will of course take them to my fashion house. where else? They will start coming there from a young age then they will also get used to the fashion world na. and mera bhanja toh future mein mera business sambhalega na. and I told you na, Ashni will be this country's no.1 model.

Ashu opened his mouth to say something to that but gave up with a rueful shake of his head. After all, what would be the point! His father in law already has plans to send his grandson into the army and DB is planning to take her great grand daughter to the temple along with her. and BB is still boasting about them to his friends at JS. everyone has their own agenda for his kids except him and Nidhi. for both of them, its still sinking and a little overwhelming too. Suddenly 2 kids! and my God what ruckus they make! One gets up and starts crying and inevitably the second one also gets up and joins. Nidhi is literally worn out just feeding these kids every couple of hours. And he is still trying to learn how to change the diaper. He still can't believe that he is a dad. DB had immediately started her arrangements for the pooja where the names of the kids will be given out traditionally on the 11^th day. Now all Ashu wants is for Nidhi to get some decent sleep. he is willing to do anything for that. thank God she is being discharged today. He rushes through his shower and gets dressed and goes to his car only to find Armaan and Rohan already there. Rohan in the drivers seat and Armaan sitting beside him. "where are you both going now?" Armaan ' "we are going to collect Nidhi and the kids. if you want to accompany us you can tag along." Ashu gives him a dirty look and all 3 leave for KGH.

By the time Nidhi and the rest of the gang reach home, everyone is at the gate waiting for them and Shyama aunty is ready with the aarti ki thali. AshNi get down frm the car each holding a kid and Rohan and Armaan are right behind carrying the baby diaper bag and other piece of luggage. Shyama aunty does aarti and tells Nidhi to first put her right foot in and come inside the house. Ashu remembers the first time nidhi did that as his bride. BB had said, "Nidhi, tumhaare yeh kadam ann dhann ki barsat layegi" Nidhi entered his home and his life and just filled it with love, laughter and life. So much life! This house was so empty once. So very empty! Like his life. Bilkul ek khandar ki tarah. Ek sunsaan khandar jisme koi aane ko bhi hichkicha tha. But one beautiful butterfly changed all that. she waved her magic wand and transformed the house into a home..sweet home. Now that home will be filled with the shouts and laughter of kids. God! I don't know what I did to deserve this. But thank you from the bottom of my heart! he is brought back into the present when Nidhi touches his arm lightly and gestures him to come along with her. and as soon as she enters the home, she takes both the kids into her arms and goes to the place where the picture of his parents was hanging. "Maaji, Babuji, yeh leejiye. Aap ka pota Aniket, poti AshNi. Naam pasand aaye aap ko? Inn dono ko aap aashirwaad deejiye taaki dono apne Baba aur Dada dono ka naam roshan karsake." The instinctive and natural way she said that brought tears to Ashu's eyes and he quickly shakes his head and wipes his eyes surreptiously only to feel someone's hand on his shoulder. Expecting Armaan or BB he glances to his side to find Rohan beside him giving him a smile of understanding. He puts his arm around Rohan and brings him closer on a one armed hug in a silent thank you. soon after that Armaan speaks up. "Ashutosh, Nidhi, and my nanhe bachchalo..i have a surprise for all of you. so follow me please." And everyone follow Armaan. He goes near the spare bedroom door, dramatically turns towards AshNi, gives a broad smile and says "TATADA! Here you go!" and opens the door with a florish! AshNi are left speechless. The whole room has been transformed into a kids' paradise. Nidhi walks inside in a dazed manner and runs her hand over the furniture, the beds, the changing table and finally the rocking chair. She rises tear filled eyes towards Armaan and goes straight to him and gives him a hug. Ashu is still a bit stunned when he says, "lekin Armaan yeh sab kaise kab?" Armaan ' "you and Nidhi were in the hospital all the time so it was relatively easy. But I couldn't have done it without the help of Anji, Ranga, Rohan and Aanchal." Then Rohan speaks up. "you were asking na Ashutoshji, whats the finishing touch. Look up!" then Ashu and Nidhi look at the ceiling to see it filled with night glow stars and moon. They would start glowing slightly as soon as it gets dark making it look like as if you are sleeping under the stars. Rohan continues. "that's from me and Aanchal." Everyone express their delight at the way the room is done and during the commotion Aniket declares that he is hungry with one of his howls. Soon enough, Ashni also follows with her own cry. Everyone hurries out of the room to give some privacy to Nidhi and Anji stays back to help her with the second kid. Nidhi feeds Ashni and Anji gives the bottle to Aniket all the while cooing at him. Once he is done, Nidhi shows Anji how to burp him and as soon as his diaper is changed, he is off sleeping again. Anji puts him on the bed and seeing that Nidhi is still feeding Ashni, gestures her that she is leaving and goes away quietly closing the door. Nidhi soon finishes feeding and changing diaper routine but seeing that Ashni is not going to sleep, carries her and brings her down to the hall. AShutosh sees her getting down the steps slowly and gives an exasperated look. "you were supposed to feed the kids and get some sleep Nidhi!" Nidhi gives him a tired smile and says, "but your daughter is not sleeping. Here take her." and hands over his daughter to him. Then seeing DB sitting there, Nidhi comes to her and sits beside her and carefully adjusting herself puts her head in DB's lap and closes her eyes. DB softly rubs her forehead. Ashu starts to sit with his daughter in his arms when Aanchal comes near him and says, "Ashutoshji, can I hold her for some time? Please?" Ashu smilingly nods and hands over Ashni to Aanchal. She carefully holds the baby, sits down and holds one of the baby's palm in hers and gives a soft beautiful smile to the baby. Rohan is watching all this with an intent expression on his face. He suddenly calls, "Aanchal?" she is still looking at the baby and gives a distracted "hhmmm?" "Will you marry me?" there is pin drop silence after that statement. Ashu's head jerks back a little in surprise, Nidhi gets up from her reclining position with an open mouth and Anji closes her mouth with her palms in a shocked expression. Armaan blinks and keeps looking at them both and the rest are just staring and thinking if they have heard right. Aanchal slowly rises her head and looks at Rohan. Her expression takes on a stunned look and then suddenly a heavy blush creeps into her face. He gets up from his place beside Ashu and goes to her and repeats the question. "Aanchal, will you marry me?" Nidhi comes and takes the baby from her arms and moves away as if giving Aanchal time to collect herself. Ashu sees Aanchal swallowing once, twice and then getting up to stand in front of Rohan and say in a clear voice. "Yes Rohan! I will!" Rohan exhales loudly and hugs her in front of everyone. Ashu comes near them, taps Rohan on the shoulder and rises his eyebrow in his typical way and gestures them to the door. Both of them need to be alone now and if the family recovers from the shock, no one will give a chance for them to go anywhere. Esp Nidhi and Anji. Realizing the same thing, Rohan nods at Ashu, catches Aanchal's hand in his and quickly makes his way out of the house. a few seconds after that the hall is filled with excited chatter of everyone talking at the same time. Anji and Nidhi are the only ones speaking in low tones and giggling like 2 teenagers and seeing that Ashni has gone to sleep despite the ruckus, Nidhi takes her up to put her on her bed and Anji follows and their gossip continues and the rest of the day passes with the upcoming wedding plans and it gets decided that Rohan's parents and Aachal's bhaiya bhabhi (her mom n dad passed away when she was a baby) would meet on the day of the naamkaran pooja. Nidhi rolls her eyes and says that its silly to call it naamkaran as the names have already been given and announced. DB glares at her and Ashu pinches her a little and gestures her to keep quiet. If DB says there is going to be a naamkaran, then there is going to be one and that's it. No point in beating your head about it. And finally after dinner, everyone make way to their respective homes and house quietens down. Nidhi is already gone up to their room and Ashu gets a glass of milk for her and goes up. He goes into the kids room which is right beside their room and sees that Nidhi is not there. Only Ashni is on her bed sleeping on her tummy, bums raised in the air. He smiles at that position and tiptoes back from the room. Hearing Nidhi's voice coming from their room, he goes there and the scene that meets him stops him in his tracks. The mother of his son is sitting on the bed and feeding Aniket while singing him a lullaby softly.

She carefully lifts him up after the feed and pats him on his back for his burp all the while singing the same lullaby. AShu comes in as Nidhi slowly rocks his son to sleep and sits beside her without taking his eyes from her. his eyes take on an strange yearning expression mixed with joy and sadness in equal measures. Nidhi cups one hand on his cheek and her eyes ask him "what happened?" Ashu shakes his head as if to say "nothing" and Nidhi's frown replies back "don't lie to me". Ashu smiles a little. Now looks like both of them can easily understand each other's nainon ki bhasha! Seeing that Aniket has gone off to sleep, he says softly, "kuch nahin Nidhi. I was just thinking..my mom also would have put me to sleep like this na. she would have also sung me a lullaby. I wish I could remember what it felt like..you know. And at the same time, I was thinking how lucky my son and daughter to get it from you. that's all. Aur kuch nahin." Nidhi's eyes smile at him in understanding and she scoots a little and pats him as if asking him to come closer and he complies. She shifts Aniket onto the bed and turns back to Ashu and opens her arms. And with a heartfelt sigh he rests his head on her chest and she wraps her arms around him and starts her song again.

Ashu laughs softly at her change in that lyric and with his head resting on her, drifts off to sleep, secure in the warmth and love. And as if even the kids sensed that they were home, for the first time, sleep through the night. Next day morning Ashu and Nidhi are woken up by a soft knock on their door. Sleeping through the night for the first time has left them bleary eyed and both look at each other as if they didn't understand where the noise was coming from. Instinctively both look at the baby monitor and see that its still quiet. So its not the babies who woke them up. Then the sound gets repetitive as if the person who is knocking is in a hurry but at the same time doesn't want to disturb the kids. AShu gets up and opens the door to a super excited Rohan who in his excitement is literally bouncing up and down. "Rohan, tum? Itni subah subah? Everything ok?" Rohan barges into the room and comes to Nidhi and hugs her too. "Rohan, whats happened?" then as if an idea struck her, "oh no. don't tell me! You and Aanchal ran away and got married last night itself? Is that it?" Rohan ' "arre nahin Nidhiji. Its even better than that. your results are out! You got 148^th rank!" Ashu's face lights up! "really? Where did you see it Rohan?" Roahn ' "online. I knew the results would be out soon so I was keeping an eye as both of you were busy with the kids." AShu ' "chalo I want to see it again myself." And he goes towards his study to get his laptop. Both of them sit and go online and verify again twice just to be sure and give a whoop of joy, hug each other again and give high fives. Then Ashu turns around to find Nidhi missing. He goes back to the room to find her still sitting in the same place. "Nidhi! you are still sitting here? Congratulations sweetheart! You did it! You really did it! I am so proud of you!" Nidhi ' "but Ashutosh, I didn't write it all that well. How come??" Ashu ' "you told me you gave it your best shot Nidhi! so I knew you would be getting a great rank! Oh God! Nidhi! I feel so proud!" Nidhi finally smiles as if the news has finally sunk in and hugs Ashu. "thank you. but credit goes to my mentor actually. Without him I wouldn't have been able to do anything. So Dr Ashutosh, Congratulations!" both laugh and hug and Ashu lifts her up in his arms and twirls her around in the room with Rohan looking on with a huge grin on his face. Then both Ashu and Nidhi face Rohan and open their arms and Rohan comes and gets enveloped in their hug!

Then as if on cue first one baby cry is heard and a few seconds later the second one. all 3 rush into the room and the next half hour goes by with feeding and changing the kids by Ashu and Nidhi while Rohan calls the rest of the family and gives them the news about the result. Soon after that Mandira also calls them from US to congratulate them on their twins and both Mandira and Mahindra talk to Ashu and Nidhi. they recently had a baby girl and named her Tanya. So Nidhi and Mandira spend a few minutes exchanging their mutual experiences during the delivery. By the time of bfast, everyone troop in again to wish Nidhi and Armaan has a delightful time pulling DB's leg because she fainted during Nidhi's delivery. He still hasn't forgotten that DB refused to let him buy anything before the delivery and is hell bent on irritating her now. Ashu finally pulls him away from that room and sends him out to buy some sweets. BB is the happiest of all and Ashu takes out the rarely used camera of his to take pictures of BB and CV each holding one grandchild, Nidhi in between Armaan and Rohan, Anji and Nidhi hugging, DB kissing Nidhi on the cheek and Nidhi stuffing a sweet in Armaan's mouth and finally Anji grabs the camera to take a snap of Ashu and Nidhi feeding the sweets to each other and both of them with kids and one more of Ashu and Nidhi with arms around each other. Once everyone settles down a bit after the excitement, Anji asks, "so Nidhi, when is the counselling going to be? What are you going to choose?" Nidhi ' "counselling is after 15 days in Delhi. I want to do Paediatrics and if that's not available, I am inclined towards ophthalmology. Lets see." Armaan ' "and you won't need to look for a place in Delhi Nidhi. mera flat hain na. just go ahead and use it for the next 2-3 years. No issues." No one gets an excited response from Nidhi. instead, she becomes quiet for a few seconds and then suddenly says "no. I don't want to do this PG. I don't want to go to AIIMS and I don't want to go to Delhi." Everyone is taken aback. CV ' "but why beta? It's a golden opportunity for you. itna achcha rank mila hain AIIMS mein. Its not a joke." Nidhi ' "but Baba, how can I leave Ashutosh and the kids and stay away for 3 years? And leave this house and Lucknow and all of you. no. I don't want to go." BB ' "par Nidhi.." Ashu gestures him to stop and goes near Nidhi and gets down on his hunches in front of her. "Nidhi, look at me and listen. Ok? firstly, you won't be leaving me and the kids. not for a day and certainly not for 2 years. Me and the kids are going to come with you. I have already for a sabbatical at KGH for 3 years. Me, BB and the kids will be coming with you. I told you last month that there is an offer for me to teach at MAMC so this morning I called them up and accepted their offer. They are delighted. See, problem solved." Nidhi ' "but KGH mein kya hoga? You can't leave them in a lurch right?" Ashu ' "Ranganath is currently handling that and speaking to the Neurosurgeons at CCHH and another hospital. They will be helping out at KGH as and when required. If an emergency pops up and they need me, I will come to Lucknow. 3-4 ghante ka hi toh safar hain. now don't think about all those things. I told you I will handle them. you just prepare for the counselling and the interview after that. ok?" Nidhi ' "but your profession..your career'" Ashu ' "Nidhi, I have been in the front seat all these years. Ab thak gaya hu. Even I need a break from this hectic pace and daily surgeries. And after teaching you and being your mentor, I realized that its something I want take up. I want to share my knowledge with others. So this is the best possible thing that can happen for you and me. And we are going away forever na. buss 3 saal ki hi toh baat hain. then we'll be back home. Where we belong. Right?" Nidhi's face lightens up and she nods her head, smiles, hugs him and says "thank you Ashutosh!" Ashu frowns a little at that and touches his forehead to hers. DB ' "par bachchon ka khyal kaun rakhega? I will do one thing. I will also come with you all. That way I will be there for them and look after them." CV intervenes. "no Bua. Let them do this on their own. And Dr Mathur is going to be there any way. Beech beech mein we will be making trip to Delhi. But I think whatever they want to do, we should let them do it. And as Ashutosh has said, they will be back here before we know it. Time flies by." DB ' "par Yog!.." Cv ' "Bua'" ashu comes to DB and sits beside her. "DB, you are like a mother to Nidhi and me. And please believe me, I will take great care of Nidhi and your great grand kids. my teaching is only part time DB. I am really going to take a break and spend time with BB, Nidhi and my kids. I don't want to miss anything in their life. And whenever you want to come, just let me know and I will take you to Delhi myself. We would definitely need your help with the kids while shifting and settling down though." That seems to please DB to no end and she nods happily and hugs Ashutosh. Armaan ' "Ok. problem solved. Party time!!" and the celebration goes on with lots of interruptions from the kids. they had slept all through night and so their day time consisted of only very short naps. But Ashu and Nidhi didn't mind. As long as they slept at night, what more could they want!! After dinner when everyone is getting ready to leave, Rohan comes to Ashutosh and says he wants to talk to him. So both of them go out for a stroll. Ashutosh ' "kya baat hain Rohan?" Rohan ' "Dr Ashutosh'" Ashu interrupts. "ROhan, can I ask you something? Don't you think its time you stopped calling me Dr Ashutosh and start calling me just Ashutosh? I mean, I am not just your friend's husband now, right? I am your friend too. At least that's what I think." Rohan smiles a little. "yeah. Pata hi nahin chala Dr..i mean Ashutoshji, when you stopped just being my friend's husband. now I don't even hesitate to say that you are my friend. Ok. from now on its just Ashutosh." both of them stop their stroll and shake hands on that. "Ashutosh, next week soon after the naamkaran function Aanchal's bhaiya bhabhi are going to meet my parents. my mom is just happy that I am finally getting married so there won't be any problem. But still, I want you also to be there. Can you come?" Ashu ' "arre isme poochne waali kya baat hain. of course I will be there. Why don't you do one thing. Call all of them to our house itself that evening. Tab tak function hojayega and all can sit and talk on a neutral ground." Rohan likes the idea and immediately calls up and informs Aanchal and Ashu hears her excited chatter and concludes that even she is for it. She has also changed a lot since the first time Ashu met her. now she is not so shy, more confident about herself and more open to talking with others. Pehle toh bahut jhijhakti thi. Finalizing everything, both of them make their way home.

Ashu is getting ready to leave for KGH in the morning and Nidhi is busy giving a bath to the kids and having a great time at it. He laughs at the way she keeps talking to them as if they understand every word that she says and respond to it. He leans against the bathroom door and says, "so whats today's topic of conversation?" Nidhi gives him a pouting look. "I was just telling my son that he should not grow up to be a khadoos like his Baba and he agrees with me." Ashu ' "khadoos? Phir se wahi baat!" and he goes to Ashni who is on her bad and says "aur aap beti, aap apne temper par kaboo rakhiye. Don't take after your mother. I think twice before calling her "sweetheart" even today. Kal raat ko issi ke baare mein mujhe ek nightmare bhi aaya tha." Nidhi ' "Ashni,don't listen to your Baba. He has a weird sense of humour." Ashu ' "weird sense of humour? Me? Achcha? Toh honeymoon jungle mein manaane ka idea kiska tha? If that's not weird I don't know what is! And you should be thankful that I decided to come along." Nidhi ' "achcha? Tab toh machaan pe baitkar bade thank you thank you bol rahe the." Ashu ' "bolna padta hain na. mauke ki nazaakat ko samjho Nidhi. pehli raat I went off to surgery, doosri we spent in the bus and if I had not thanked you and all that, you would have thrown me out of the machaan and teesri raat bhi'" Nidhi sprinkles the bath water on him in retort to that comment and he laughingly evades it and says, 'achcha suno sweethe'sorry Nidhi," another spray of water almost reaches him and he evades again. "ok ok listen. I am now leaving for KGH and I got a call from Armaan. His board of directors meet in Mumbai is all done so he is coming back this evening. Right on time for tomorrow's naamkaran function. So I will go to the airport on my way back and pick him up." Nidhi ' "oh ok. waise toh I am really happy that soon Rohan will also get settled. Ab buss Armaanji ko bhi koi achchi si ladki miljay. It would be great na." Ashu laughs and tells, "don't say that in front of Armaan. He will run away from our home. As it is, jab se humaari shaadi hui hain tab se aunty ka ek hi jaap hain ' mujhe bhi bahu chahiye! Now if you also start, where will that poor guy go?" Nidhi ' "I don't need to start on anything ji. Aap dekhiyega. Armaanji keliye bhi koi na koi kahi na kahi toh hogi. Buss milne ki deri hain." Ashu looks at his watch and tells her that he is late, gives a flying kiss to all 3 of them and turns towards the door only to hear Nidhi's "jaana zaroori hain?" he stops, smilingly shakes his head, comes back to her, holds her face in his hands and gives her a hard kiss that just goes on and on. Finally they break apart and he looks at his watch again, groans and leaves. Since he had taken an off soon after Nidhi's delivery and now that the news is out that he is going to be off on a sabbatical, his OPD is almost back to back appointments and he also had a surgery scheduled today. His day literally flies by and around 5.30 he leaves for the airport and reaches just in time to hear the announcement of the Mumbai flight. Sure enough a few minutes later Armaan walks out of the gate and Ashu frowns a little. Unlike the usual, this time Armaan's walk is very slow and reluctant. As if he didn't want to come back or doesn't want to leave the airport. And he doesn't notice Ashu even though he comes and stands right beside him. Still frowning Ashu is about to tap Armaan's shoulder when he sees that there is someone else standing on the other side of Armaan. A woman. A woman who is looking at Armaan with her heart in her eyes and biting her lips to stop her tears. Armaan turns and looks at her and tenderly wipes the single tear that fell on her cheek and says "I wish we had talked like this all those years ago. Armaan takes out his pen from his pocket and opens her palm and writes something on it. She reads it and gives a hiccupping laugh "tumhe yaad hain?" and she takes the pen from him and writes something back on his hand. Both look at their palms and smile at each other. Armaan ' "you go on now. I'll be in touch." She holds his hand in both of hers and says "waada?" Armaan ' "pakka waada!" then she turns and with a final wave walks away in the other direction. Armaan keeps staring at her retreating figure and Ashu finally clears his throat and when that doesn't work, he pats on his shoulder. Armaan's startled eyes meet that of Ashu's and he stammers. "arre Ashu, when did you come?" Ashu puts on a serious face and says "jab tum uss ladki ke aasoo poch raha tha na. tab. Kaun hain woh?" Armaan ' "kaun woh?" Ashu ' "Armaan, I saw and heard everything. I was standing right beside you and neither of you noticed me. Who is she?" Armaan ' "arre yaar kuch nahin. she was my classmate in the college and I met her again on the flight from Mumbai. That's all." Ashu gives him a disbelieving look. "that's all?" Armaan ' "you want to continue this interrogation in the car or do we stand here and go on?" both of them make their way to the car and settle down with Ashu in the driver's seat. "now, out with it!" Armaan ' "ok ok. but you have to promise me something first." Ashu ' "what?" Armaan ' "promise me that you won't say anything about it to Nidhi now. ok?" Ashu ' "achcha toh maamla serious hain. hain na?" Armaan turns his head towards the window and nods his head. Then as if collecting himself he turns back towards his lifelong friend and says "toh, you promise not to say anything?" Ashu raises his hands in surrender. "ok I promise. But ek baat bata Armaan. I won't say a word about this to Nidhi. but you seriously think YOU will be able keep quite and hide it from her?" Armaan groans and covers his face. "yeah, you have a point!" Ashu laughs out aloud and thinks, "yeh sach much ek pari hain. this morning she said about Armaan settling down and now this!!" with a smile, he starts his car and both of them make their way home. Home to Nidhi. Home to his angel.
