Why do I not care?

The whole forum is up in arms. Everyone wants to murder Ashu, Mallika and if possible, KPji. I was like this during the last track too. I hated Ashutosh and Mallika and wanted them to rot in hell for what they were doing to Nidhi.

However, today I don't seem to care. The emotional angst of the characters is not wringing me out. All I feel is mild irritation. I know this will last a few weeks and then the love birds will patch up. They will cootchie coo for the next few weeks. And all those who screamed blue murder will wax eloquent over their chemistry. It has happened once and it is going to happen again.

The situations are currently contrived and the characters' behaviors illogical so as to ensure a misunderstanding.

I am now watching the show as a habit, because i enjoy being part of the interaction here and also, despite everything, this show is the closest that comes to my sensibilities, I am unable to watch high TRP raking shows that have husbands marrying sisters-in-law and wives their husband's best friends. Whether it is doing a good job of it or not, this show is actually trying to explore real life moral dilemmas. Life is not black and white and neither are human beings. So, that is still okay by me. The situations may be contrived but the moral dilemmas of each of these characters is very real. They intrigue me even if they do not emotionally engage me.

I am not in love with any of these characters but neither do they disgust me. I am at present apathetic and viewing the show as an unconcerned third party who is curious to know how far these characters will go. Otherwise, I really don't care!

I don't know if there are others who feel like this. But I sure would like to know.

i have stopped watching from the time Mallu entered for the 3rd time...this time along with a pregnancy...i read the WUs and have fun at the forum...not even tempted to watch the show anymore...not even for the handsome hunk...

In previous track at least was angry on ashu & mallu , but now i have no anger for them coz no feeling left for these characters.

Yes I share and relate to your feelings. Yesterday after watching the episode I could not control my irritation and poured my feelings. Yet it was nothing strong like the previous track. Everything is so artificial and meaningless why care about this? The theme is more so like other shows but given a different name and treatment. My annoyance is with the writer who takes us for a ride and try to fool us by giving some weird explanations for his twisted mind . But my addiction is getting cured and I can skip few episodes now . I love the forum more than the show and it has become my reason to stay with the show. What creativity ,thought provoking discussions and fun. I love your posts for your command over the language and naughty fun posts by Deeps, Mudra, waves to name a few. Would like to thank Ktlk for this.I don't think any other show has a bunch of intellectuals as loyal fans. In that way Ktlk is unique.

Good post, m watching this show without any expectations n passion...that's why m still enjoying..lol

Daily soaps esp Indian ones are in my view.. meant for enjoyment.. and not for caring or worrying for! But it so happens that over a time we forge a bond .. an emotional attachment to the show. .or the characters or the actors portraying the roles!

Same here,love the show very much with its flaws, can't stop watching, love the forum as well,shukh dukh, gussa bat sakte hai sabke saath,dil khol ke hasthe hai...feel good...
