I just had another thought. I wonder what will happen when Nidhi finds out that he is footing all of her bills. Yes he has told her that he shifted Mallika to a safer place, but I wonderif she realizes that he is also supporting her financially. And if she doesnt know, then I wonder what will happen when she does find out.so that's 2 open avenues for an almost sure to happen, MU, between them.

I wonder if the money would be such a big thing...but well, if she correlates it to his anger over her credit card overuse, then she is bound to feel resentful...but don't think that is going to make much of a difference...but once she knows Mallika is pregnant, even this MU won't last...except for not telling her beforehand, he has not committed a crime...and she will recognize that...as a wife, she is bound to be unhappy but I don't think there will be a major MU...

I absolutely agree,Sujatha! For that matter, even when the incident took place, we never saw Ashutosh's anguish at the thought of losing Nidhi. The sheer thought of what life would have been had Mallika been successful in her plan. It's almost as if he stayed away from Mallika for Nidhi sake but otherwise she's still his friend. Even today, you would not think any problem had occurred between them. There was no reluctancy, awkwardness, cautiousness. All I saw was complacency.

I agree...there should have been more emphasis on his torment over almost losing Nidhi...and now again, I want to see his pain on Nidhi's behalf...this woman almost cost him his wife...while he would never let that keep him from helping her, he cannot possibly wish away all that anger in a day or two...he may not show it to her on account of her health...but he can certainly feel the torment within!

Hi Sujatha, Good Post.
It doesn't go down well with the viewers, ease in which Ashu has restarted his friendship duties / responsibilities - Whatever the circumstances. It comes across as if he is lackadaisical towards Nidhi's feelings or trauma she went due to this very same friend. I won't blame Nidhi if she chews Ashu's head or there is MU.

Would Ashu be equally accommodating like Nidhi - if situation was reverse and Nidhi would have helped her male friend on humanitarian grounds if this friend had tried to harm Ashu.

thts THE problem with his relationship to mallu..! KPji has never addressed it before even after all her ill-doings..and i dont c any hope now tht she is pregers.. he has a more convinient reason now! jst a slap and snubbing her off doesnt make up for the extennt of damage she has done in his life..
even Nidhi is doing wat is to b done on humanitarian grounds.. bt y do v c more thn humanity in his concern for mallu? Y?

you are absolutely right Sujatha infact I have mentioned it in Tanus post of the episode, not for a momment did he not think that his dear friend had tried to kill his wife for which our Nidhi has forgiven her...if Nidhi is upset with him which I doubt she will be for a long time it is because of his friendship...
I felt sad for Nidhi looking at her she has her own insecurities she forgives him so easily even yesterday after speaking to Ashu she tells him to forget that she was upset...now if we have to see changed mallika at price of Nidhis happiness then sorry I can't digest this track...
I know Ashu loves Nidhi but at times you have to be more verbal to solve your problems with you spouse and share everything and not just sulk...

Is it all about Nidhi?? I think so Sujatha...Ashu is doing this on humanitarian grounds..agreed. So according to him, his actions are justified. Uske mann mein Mallika ko protect karne ke ilaawa aur kuch nahin hain...so his only thought is that hope Nidhi understands him. thats it. because his actions are going to save a life, he can't see past that. or rather, he won't see past that. i didn't find any conflict in him regarding his actions as a human VS actions as a husband. If we are hoping for something in that direction, you have to write another OS and all of us will read and satisfy ourselves.

And this is not the first instance na Sujatha...even in the previous Mallika tracks, he never justified or had conflict over or communicated his thoughts out loud. be it when he fired Nidhi on Mallika's say or the second round of telling Nidhi to get out of the house in the middle of the night. shouldn't there be a conflict in that situation too?? when he saw his wife walking out of the house in the middle of the night? shouldn't the thought at least cross his head..at least a look of pain and regret...did we see any of those?

and its not just about Ashu here. its about Nidhi too. i expected her to talk about her hurts and pain. at least after he kicked Mallika out of his house...but did she do that? she supported his actions and waved away his apology. so i don't feel sorry for her in this instance either. once all this comes out, she might probably come out and say "Dr Ashutosh, i understand why you did what you did. so please aap sorry mat boliye."...

and thats why i was/am not for this redemption track. for KPji, it comes at the cost of AshNi.

Suja, am at a loss here...I don't know whether you read the OS where I had described Ashutosh's angst...his conflict over helping Mallika and hurting Nidhi in the process...had sent it to KPji...he said that he was amazed that I had so accurately reflected Ashu's conflict...that it mirrored his thoughts etc...but I am not seeing it in the show...and that bothers me...to me, even after the last track, ashutosh still does not recognize the extent of Nidhi's pain... don''t have a problem with his helping Mallika...but he should recognize what it is costing Nidhi to see him associate with Mallika whatever the circumstances...even goodness comes at a price..and in this case, Nidhi is paying the price for his and her goodness...he needs to be sensitive to this...otherwise there is no character growth from the previous track...he has seen how much it is hurting her..and yet he talks of his conscience...that rankled big time for me...instead if for a moment, he had thought of how Nidhi was feeling, I would have been happier...anyway, this is what I went and posted on his wall...

?Kamlesh Pandeyji, it is impossible for us to do justice to all our roles...while we score with one, we might fail at another...but what is important is that we recognize our failings..in this case, Sir, Ashutosh the human being is scoring...but Ashutosh, the husband is failing in comparison...isn't he trying to delude himself when he tells himself that he is acting only at Nidhi's behest...he knows she is going to be hurt...and he knows she would be right in feeling so...he is unable to fulfil the one thing she asked of him,...keep Mallika out of their lives..he is a victim of circumstances of course...but while his humaneness has triumphed, would be good to see his husbandly angst...he knows she is going to feel betrayed...and she would be justified too...hope to see Ashutosh torn between his conscience and his love for his wife, Sir..hope to see him make an effort to tell her how tormented he feels...and how guilty he feels that he has not been able to keep his word...he may be entitled to feel self-righteous on account of the circumstances, Sir, but he is facing the woman whom he loves beyond himself!

@Shalini

Yes, this lack of communication is going to cost them dear...on the other hand, maybe we should be happy that finally he seems to be recognizing Nidhi's pain a little bit...I suppose that is the growth over the previous track...
