I will just share an amusing episode of our HM trip.
Both of us are 12 yrs apart...we were not financially sound when we got married (Drs take a little longer to settle down) and so decided to go to the HM by public transport (in Maharastra you have these STs, we started to go to a place near Lonavala close to Pune)
Somewhere in the middle, the bus broke down...both of us (and a lot others) were standing asking for lift and other modes of transport...
One truck carrying goats stopped (actually this was a small tempo: one with 3 wheels, single driver's cabin and open space behind). WE asked for lift to reach our destination...pat came the reply:
Bachhi ko hum aage bitha lenge, aur uncle aap peechhe bakariyon ke saath khade raho...abhi aur ek ghante hi to jaana hai...
How'z that?

Malvika, this is uncanny...are you sure this show is not based on your lives? I mean it is so similar right down to the HM by public transport..

But tell us, how did your husband react?

Uska chehra dekhane laayak tha...I burst out laughing...then he recovered and said to the driver: Bachhi ka khayal rakhana...khidki mein se jhankane mat dena... etc etc...
That time is immortal today...today we have two cars at home, and independent house in Hyd, a flat in a posh locality of Mumbai...but we cant forget those days when we travelled in a racketty state transport bus.

I don't have personal experience. But age-gap issues could turn nasty if the elder partner is not matured or confident enough to handle it. Saw it happen to few of my relatives who had up to 10 years difference, where the older husbands control and interfere in the appearance of the wives.(no make up, only sarees etc.). I wish Ashu handles it better.

I can imagine...the early days maybe full of struggle but they are simply the best!
